Fantasy Football: My All-Waiver-Wire Team For Week Seven
Last week, my AWW team scored a mediocre 52 points. If that was higher than, or too close for comfort to yours, maybe one or some (hopefully not all) of the guys on this list can help you win your matchup this week.
Without further ado...
QB: Brad Johnson, DAL (at STL, 66%).

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This time last week, Johnson was owned in "1%" of leagues. That was probably an overstatement. At any rate, Tony Romo looks like a no-go at St. Louis and Johnson just has far too many weapons at his disposal not to succeed. I'm not saying the Cowboys have to win, but I am saying Johnson could easily top 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Rams have only one interception to their credit all year.
RB: Mewelde Moore, PIT (at CIN, 68%).
Moore makes for a great plug-and-play again as Willie Parker is missing Week 7 at the Bengals, who last week surrendered three touchdowns to Thomas Jones. Moore has played well also, registering 99 rushing yards on 17 attempts (5.8 avg) in Week 5 at Jacksonville. The Steelers were on bye in Week 6.
RB: Derrick Ward, NYG (vs SF, 57%).
Ward boasted an even better yards-per-carry average than Moore in his last game (Week 6) at the Browns, running for 101 yards on 10 attempts (10 avg). Expect the Giants to run over, around, and through the 49ers, who got blasted by Correll Buckhalter last week.
WR: Steve Smith, NYG (vs SF, 25%).
Yes, "the other" Steve Smith should make for a good play against the same 49ers that can be run on. He had a remarkable nine receptions last week against the Browns, for 94 yards. While that has been more of the exception than the rule this year, don't be surprised if he goes over 60 and/or scores.
WR: Josh Reed, BUF (vs SD, 8%).
The winner of the "Who Gets the Lions" sweepstakes, Kevin Walter, barely missed the cut as he is owned in 71% of leagues. Enter Josh Reed, who is owned in eight. Eight. Now you have a 92% chance that he's available in your league. Here's why you should consider playing him.
He's gotten at least three catches and 36 yards in each game this season. Not exactly impressive, no, but he is the number two receiver on a team heading to the Chargers, who have surrendered a laughable 267 passing yards per game.
RB/WR: Kevin Faulk, NE (vs DEN, 23%).
The Patriots face another AFC West opponent in Week 7, hosting the Broncos. Sammy Morris would be my back of choice, but he's less likely to be available in your league. Faulk, however, has seen his carries increase in each of the last two weeks and has averaged 40 rushing yards and a touchdown per game in his previous two contests.
TE: Alex Smith, TB (vs SEA, 17%).
I went with my gut on Sunday morning and picked up Marcedes Lewis (12%) to fill my tight end spot that Kellen Winslow was occupying in one of my leagues. So I didn't get Visanthe Shiancoe, but the gut didn't lie, as Lewis was the top-scoring Fantasy TE in Week 6.
Moving on to Week 7, it's worth noting that Alex Smith has scored in two of the last three weeks, and faces a Seahawks defense that's allowed 243.8 yards per game in the air.
DST: Texans, HOU (vs DET, 47%).
The winners of the "Who Gets the Lions?" sweepstakes, the Texans registered two sacks and an interception in each of the last two weeks, while scoring a DST touchdown last week against Miami as well.
K: Rian Lindell, BUF (vs SD, 22%).
Lindell is still a decent bye-week kicker against the Chargers defense that shut down the Patriots last week. If he had hit his first attempt in the first quarter, Stephen Gostkowski, still would have come away from the game with nine points.
It's time to pick up
Warrick Dunn. He's getting more and more involved in the Tampa Bay offense, and I didn't include him in my all-waiver-wire team for Week 7 as it is time for him to graduate to a mainstay on your roster. Even if it is on the bench (though you should consider starting him against the Seahawks).
