ROH & Indy Scene Or WWE & TNA's Big Leagues?
People have always been wondering, which scene is best? Is the indy scene better than the big leagues or are the big leagues better than the indy scene? Well I may not be able to answer the overall question, but to me, there is no questioning that the indy scene is best.
From the low indy promotions like Champions With Attitudes to the big indy promotions like ROH, there has never been a better chance of Pro-Wrestling Unity. I mean, when you look at TNA & WWE, what do you see? You see both promotions turning down what is Pro-Wrestling of today.
The pro-wrestling of today is fast paced and it's still all about the heart. In ROH you get rivalries, storylines, heels, faces, and great matches, but what you get exclusively in ROH & indy than you do in WWE & TNA is people giving everything to get at least 25 dollars (pay rate of CWA) or nothing for that matter (IWA-MS).
Maybe it's the fact that the big guys have bigger money and are at the top, but when I look at Triple H & HBK and I see them not even caring about others but the money, and then I go to a local indy promotion and I see nobodies giving their lives for as low as 25 dollars, something is wrong.
WWE & TNA's superstars should set the example, but instead all I hear from wrestlers nowadays are "I want to work in ROH." "ROH seems like a better promotion." As a trainee myself, and someone who grew up idolizing Macho Man, Owen Hart, Bret Hart, and Ric Flair I have to say that I would love to go to WWE and bring back the WWF era.
I can't believe that Vince, a genius, has let his company become a joke. Back in the Attitude Era, I went to school and asked people "Do you like wrestling?" "Hey did you see that awesome move on Monday?" or something like that, and everybody would have a positive response. Now, I go to those same people with the same questions and they'll say, "I turned after the first 30 minutes of talking."
The Indy scene to me is where everyone should look to. Hell, I'm surrounded by a state that has 16 promotions, and the state above me has 67, together that is 83 promotions and out of the 7 promotions that I go to nearly weekly, I see a whole bunch of fans and wrestlers giving it their all to that promotion.
In today's indy scene, I've seen matches that have lasted 2 hours and stayed exciting. I've seen ladder matches that have been taken to levels that WWE would never be able to compete with.
The big leagues of Pro-Wrestling may have more money, but not more dedication. I admit, I like the big leagues but I LOVE the indy league.

Stephen Murdock.
