Week 7 Start/Sit
Start
Matt Schaub (Texans) vs. Lions- Schaub missed Week 5 due to an illness but threw for a season high 379 yards last week vs. the Dolphins. Schaub has passed for over 300 yards with four TDs his past two games. WR Andre Johnson has 19 catches for 309 yards and two touchdowns the past two weeks. The Lions are giving up 251 passing yards per game and Schaub could throw for another 300 yards with multiple touchdowns.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Brad Johnson (Cowboys) vs. Rams- The Cowboys have plenty of weapons on offense including newly acquired WR Roy Williams. TE Jason Witten is fifth in the NFL with 497 receiving yards and WR Terrell Owens is tied for first with five TD catches. The Rams have allowed 164 points which is 31st in the NFL and only have one interception on the season.
Honorable mention: Aaron Rodgers (Packers) vs. Colts
Bench
Joe Flacco (Ravens) vs. Dolphins- Has thrown five interceptions and zero touchdowns in his past two games. The Rookie only has one touchdown on the season and thrown for more than 200 yards just once. The Dolphins forced 4 turnovers last week and will be after Flacco this week.
Trent Edwards (Bills) vs. Chargers- Edwards suffered a concussion in Week 5 and was cleared to practice this week. Edwards has completed 66% of his passes but has thrown for one TD or less in each of the games has played. The Chargers defense was very impressive last week holding the Pats to 10 points and have 12 sacks over the past three weeks.
Honorable mention: Matt Cassel (Pats) vs. Broncos
Runningbacks
Start
Michael Pittman (Broncos) vs. Pats- With Selvin Young out with an injury Pittman rushed for 109 yards on 20 carries in Week 6. He also had three catches for 16 yards and will be an integral part of the Broncos rushing attack. The Pats are allowing 119 rushing yards per game and Pittman should continue his success. He has four rushing touchdowns on the season.
Warrick Dunn (Bucs) vs. Seahawks- Dunn has received 49 carries the past three games and responded with a season high 115 yards against the Panthers last week. He also caught three balls out of the backfield for 18 yards. Fullback Byron Storer left the game which made Earnest Graham block more out of the backfield. Dunn is 12th in the NFL with 386 rushing yards. Seattle is allowing 126 rushing yards per game.
Honorable mention: Thomas Jones (Jets) vs. Raiders
Bench
Willis McGahee (Ravens) vs. Dolphins- Willis is having a forgettable year rushing for just 188 yards in five games. His lone TD of the season came in Week 2 and he received a season low eight carries last week against the Colts. He has a dismal 3.2 yards per carry and faces a Dolphins defense that allows 89 rushing yards per game.
Darren McFadden- (Raiders) vs. Jets- Since his breakout game vs. the Chiefs in Week 2 Mcfadden has not rushed for more than 42 yards since then. He has carried the ball 15 times for 50 yards his past two games. He also has just 1 rushing TD on the season and faces a stingy Jet rush defense that is allowing 69 yards per game. Also RB Justin Fargas returned in the Raider backfield
Honorable mention: Julius Jones (Seahawks) vs. Bucs
Wide Receivers
Start
Bernard Berrian (Vikings) vs. Bears- Berrian has 11 catches for 241 yards and two TDs his past two games. Since Gus Frerotte took over as the starting QB in Week 3 Berrian has posted at least 79 games in all of his games. He faces his old team in the Bears this week and expect him to build on his success. He is ranked eight in the NFL with 436 receiving yards.
Donnie Avery (Rams) vs. Cowboys- The rookie had a career high four catches for 73 yards last week against the Redskins. The speedy Avery gets to play a banged up Cowboys secondary and should build on his success with Marc Bulger back at QB. Both Cowboy starting cornerbacks Adam Jones and Terrance Newman will miss the game due to injury.
Marques Colston (Saints) vs. Panthers- Colston has not played since Week 1 but he is expected to play this Sunday. In Carolina last season Colston caught seven passes for 93 yards and a TD. The 6′4″ receiver should see plenty of balls thrown his way considering QB Drew Brees leads the NFL in pass completions and yards.
Honorable mention: Donald Driver (Packers) vs. Colts
Sit
Calvin Johnson- Johnson was held out of practice yesterday after suffering a concussion against the Vikings last week. WR Roy Williams was traded to the Cowboys which means team can focus more of their efforts on the second year player. Johnson did have 85 yards and a TD with new Lions QB Dan Orlovsky under center but Megatron may not have the same success this week.
Dwayne Bowe (Chiefs) vs. Titans- The undefeated Titans are third in the NFL having given up only 860 passing yards through five games. The Chiefs are starting Brody Croyle at QB which does not bode well for Bowe. In Week 1 Croyle finished 11-of-18 for 88 yards in the opening week and should struggle against the Titans.
Bobby Engram (Seahawks) vs. Bucs- The Seahawks are starting Seneca Wallace at QB and Engram is not a good start until Matt Hasslebeck returns under center. Engram did not have a catch last week with Charlie Frye at QB and the Bucs are tied for first in the league with 11 interceptions.
Honorable mention: Brandon Stoakley (Broncos) vs. Pats
Tight End
Start
Owen Daniels (Texans) vs., Lions- Daniels is third in the NFL amongst tight ends in receptions and yards. Even though he has not caught a TD yet he has posted three games of 70 yards or more. The Lions are allowing 251 passing yards per game.
Honorable mention: Greg Olsen (Bears) vs. Vikings
Sit
Vernon Davis- Davis had his best game of the season last week against the Eagles catching six balls for 75 yards. David had five catches for 87 yards coming into that game and does make a good start against a tough Giants defense this week.
Honorable mention: Tony Scheffler (Broncos) vs. Pats
Kicker
Start
Matt Bryant (Bucs) vs. (Seahawks) - Bryant has missed only field goal attempt this season and has scored 28 points his last three games. He is sixth in the league with 12 field goals made and makes a strong start this Sunday night.
Honorable mention: Jay Feeley (Jets) vs. Raiders
Sit
Matt Stover (Ravens) vs. Dolphins- Stover is 29th in the league with only five field goals made. He has recorded four games of five points or less with a struggling offense not helping him out.
Honorable mention: Joe Nedney (49ers) vs. Giants
Defense
Start
Jets vs. Raiders- The Jets defense has been much improved this season with the additions of DT Kris Jenkins and OLB Calvin Pace. The Jets have 10 sacks and caused 10 turnovers the past two weeks. They are 4th in the league with 17 sacks and tied for second with eight forced fumbles. They are allowing only 69 rushing yards which is third best in the NFL.
Honorable mention: Texans vs. Lions
Sit
Redskins vs. Browns- Derek Anderson had his best game of the season throwing for 315 yards last week against the Giants. The Skins are 26th in the league with eight sacks and based on last weeks performance the Browns could have another strong offensive game.
Honorable mention: Pats vs. Broncos
