Everything Should Be Falling Into Place For Eagles Now..

Tyler GreenigOct 13, 2008

The Philadelphia Eagles have already had a strange season. It already is one to remember. I mean, first the blowout Rams game. Then the heartbreaking Monday Night loss in Dallas. A win against the Steelers. A homecoming loss for McNabb and the Eagles minus Brian Westbrook. A loss that left us scratching our heads back in Philly vs the Redskins, and then week six in San Francisco which resulted in an Eagles tough win without Westbrook again.

Wow!

That's how the Eagles are.

The Eagles are now 3-3 heading into their bye. But are they still a contender in the league's strongest division? My answer.... yes.

It does sound a little bizarre, but it could be true.

First off, the Eagles have a bye, this could help a lot especially when Andy Reid has never lost after the bye week since he has coached in Philadelphia. Secondly, a lot of key players are coming back healthy, such as Shawn Andrews, Brian Westbrook, Reggie Brown, and of course, Kevin Curtis. This will take a lot of pressure off of Andy Reid, and Donovan McNabb. Last but not least, the Cowboys seem to be getting banged up and slowly falling apart. Tony Romo out with an injured pinkie, Roy "Horse-collar" Williams out for a while, Terence Newman facing hernia surgery, Pacman Jones causing more controversy and could become a distraction for Dallas.

The Redskins lost their second game of the season against the St. Louis Rams which could also help the Birds.  As for the New York Giants, there has to be a way to stop them. Nobody has figured it out yet.. thats all.

But when they do, the Eagles must take advantage of it and realize that one of the only ways to become a playoff team, and a Superbowl contender, is most likely to win the NFC East
