TE: Fantasy Rankings For Week 6
Must Start:
1. Jason Witten vs. Arizona. The Cowboys have struggled a bit on offense of late and a lot of that has had to do with Romo’s penchant for forcing the ball to Owens, but this week, in what should be a high scoring affair, look for Witten to lead the charge against the Cards. Teams are often unwilling to leave TO single covered, and by doing this, it leaves Witten with one-on-one match-ups against LB and Safeties. There are no LBs or Safeties that can consistently cover him and that’s why he’s such a great match-up for the Cowboys. A few weeks ago, the Cards gave up 6 TDs to old-man Favre; look for Witten to have a big day in this contest - 80 yards and a score.
2. Chris Cooley vs. St. Louis. Cooley hasn’t been that big of a factor in the early going as Zorn’s new offense has focused more on the receivers, but last week, he did get into the scoring mix when WR Randle El hit him for TD on a trick play. This week, the lowly Rams come in and bring its defense along for the ride. Look for Campbell to target Cooley as they look to integrate him more into the new offense in what should be an easy win. He should top the 50 yard mark and put the ball into the end zone at least once.
3. Owen Daniels vs. Miami. The Fins’ defense has played surprisingly well early on, but most of their success has come against the run. In this contest, if they take away the running game and Slaton, look for Matt Schaub to find success through the air. We see WR Andre Johnson receiving most of the Fins’ secondaries attention leaving Daniels open for solid gains down the middle. In what should be a close scoring affair, look for Daniels to notch his 1st TD of the season and reach the 50-yard plateau.
Sleeper:
1. Greg Olsen vs. Atlanta. The Falcons defense has played pretty well vs. the run and John Abraham has been a terror this season, but they have been vulnerable to the pass. Last week, vs. the Packers, QB Rodgers threw for over 300 yards and 3TDs. In this affair, we think that the Bears will choose to throw the ball rather than run it, and we like Olsen’s match-up vs. 12th year Safety Lawyer Milloy. We think the match-up problems that he presents for the elder safety translates into a score and solid day yardage wise for Olsen.
