NFL: Replacing Al Davis? Is there a way?
After the last two weeks, and a bit of consultation, there is some interesting things to look at with the Al Davis situation.
There are, a few different methods that could be tried, to free the Raiders, of Al Davis.
Not all of them would be pretty, some are more likely than others, but all carry the risk, of turning into a disaster.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The first main idea, has been sounded off from the likes of Jason Cole, and other pundits....have the NFL step in, take control of the team from Al Davis.
Problems with this idea, come to the forefront, is there's no precedent. There hasn't been a club officially removed from the NFL, except in the condition of a team moving(see the Houston Oilers).
One method, in this case that could work, would be removing the team's charter. This in it's own right, would be difficult, as other clubs would be nervous...if we remove a team, could it happen to us later?
The second main idea, would involve a family member, like his son. If the son is embarrassed by his father's bungling, and feels it's a threat to an investment, he could seek his father's removal on grounds of declining mental status. Two problems fall into this category, the first being, would a judge legally remove Al, and set off a long, drawn out feud in the courts?
The second problem, and it's been a little more noticeable: did Al remove someone from his will, and the control of the team when he passes on? It would be interesting to see what's hiding in this guy's will.
The third idea, would be the hardest option: getting him to sell enough of the team off, that he is no longer the majority owner, thus, he'd lose control of the team.
The drawback to this plan, is that without Al, someone could take the Raiders, move them to Las Vegas, LA, etc....you could also wind up with the York Family of mistakes.
The fourth idea, pretty simple, is what everyone else is waiting for. he's 79 years old, looking feeble, and all that California sun can't be healthy....how much longer can he live?
Honestly....and the hard part is, that Al Davis has done just about everything for the Raiders, from coaching, to running the club, winning 3 rings, and even took a stint as AFL Commish, to help the league.
Now, in his advanced age....it's hard to see the club trying to escape his shadow.
But, my faith for my club keeps me strong. It's been a long 30+ years.
