Tuesdays at TNA: How Daniels' Return Will Create an 'Impact' on TNA!
Welcome back to Tuesdays at TNA, the place where we break down all of the major happenings going down in Dixieland!
It's been a while and we have a lot of interesting developments to discuss as we march down the Road to Lockdown. We're only a few weeks away, and while many of the matches have already been established (I know, a first for TNA), there's one match that has taken on a whole new look with the return of the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels!
Now, we're not going to get into the whole legal (or illegal) issues that might occur between Ring of Honor and TNA with Daniels appearance, let the dirt sheets worry about that.
Today I want to place the emphasis on what could potentially happen should Daniels decide to stay beyond the Road to Lockdown.
Before we move on, I want to address something that a lot of people have been hating on with his return, and that was Ric Flair's apparent "burial" of Daniels after he came into the Steel Cage and helped out his Fourtune buddies.
Yes, I know that Daniels was once in TNA with Flair, but having "The Nature Boy" putting him down does make sense and just displays his arrogant nature and the typical attitude of Immortal in that they think they are better than everyone else.
That being said, I'm excited to see how Daniels' return could really help turn the favor in Fourtune's direction, as Immortal really doesn't have anyone who can match up with his abilities, especially if Flair is going to be involved.
On a side note, this would've been a perfect opportunity to add Gunner, you know, the TV Champion, into the mix, even if he is a little green.
I think that having Daniels back adds more intrigue and depth to TNA, which is never a bad thing.
Depending on what happens during Lockdown, it's conceivable that Daniels will continue to get involved with the Fourtune-Immortal storyline, even if he is still committed to RoH for the time being.
Even though he will never be considered to hold the World Title, he would be perfect for the TV title scene, which needed a jolt of relevancy since Abyss was "injured" and didn't defend it, while Gunner doesn't have the clout to carry the scene just yet.
Much like his friend AJ Styles, Daniels could seriously have some great matchups over the title. Just imagine him and "The Pope" feuding, or a Daniels-Abyss feud over the belt he never truly lost.
It could turn the TV title from an afterthought, to a true upper-midcard championship.
What do you think? Can Daniels still make his presence felt in TNA?
