WWE WrestleMania 27 Stock Watch: Triple H-Undertaker, Miz, Whose Stock Is Up?
As part of my contribution to the worldwide WrestleMania coverage, I've deemed it necessary to reprise my role as CEO of Big Nasty securities to assess pivotal stocks heading into WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta, George.
The emphasis, and lack thereof, for a handful of WrestleMania competitors has become very obvious with some talent being featured in more prominent roles than others. My state of the art valuation techniques are designed to break down who is peaking and who is slumping as WWE prepares to showcase its annual blockbuster pay-per-view.

STOCK DOWN: Undertaker Vs. Triple H
1 of 9
Sorry, but this match is far too forced for my taste and seeing Shawn Michaels' involvement with this angle on RAW this past Monday just reminded me of how much I'd rather see Shawn-Taker one more time over Triple H-Taker.
Triple H has made a career out of not having the best match on a WrestleMania card despite top billing, and with Bryan-Sheamus, Mysterio-Rhodes, and Cole-Lawler on the undercard, expect to see his show stolen from him once again. De-emphasize this stock as you see fit.
1. STOCK UP: Sheamus
2 of 9
Straight from the burial site where WWE VP Kevin Dunn laid him to rest, Sheamus has experienced a rebirth as of late that has seen him capture the United States Championship. Sheamus will now be featured in a match that has potential to steal the show as he squares off against outstanding technical wrestler Daniel Bryan in a singles match for the United States Championship.
STOCK UP: Christian
3 of 9
Since returning to WWE, Christan booking has been a far stretch from the upper mid-card glass ceiling he has been known to receive that sparks complaints of foul play on the Internet.
Christian has scored three consecutive clean victories over the previously red hot Alberto Del Rio, and will now be accompanying best friend and World Heavyweight Champion Edge to the ring during the World Heavyweight Championship match.
Whispers of a Christian heel turn is contributing to the continued increase of Christian's stock price as investors should expect it to double going into a subsequent high profile feud with Edge.
STOCK DOWN: The Miz
4 of 9
God love him, the Miz has tried to stand on his tippy toes to be noticed in the land of Giants that is the Cena-Rock feud, but to little avail.
It doesn't help that RAW has demonstrated a pattern of a consistent viewership decline during segments featuring the Miz. In fact, if you were paying attention to his entrance past week on RAW during the overrun, as Miz walked to the ring he clearly dropped something. Upon further review, that something turned out to be the ratings.
Miz still has loads of potential to be be the future face of WWE and is in a tough spot as a first time WWE Champion main eventing WrestleMania.
However Miz' stock has been diluted by the star power of John Cena and the Rock, and this past Monday's segment where Miz was literally cast off to the side in favor of Cena and the Rock, did him no favors.
STOCK UP: Santino Marella
5 of 9
Sure he's in a throwaway match at WrestleMania 27, but Marella is usually involved in a non-wrestling role or unceremoniously thrown into the low profile, paycheck battle royal before WrestleMania begins.
Marella in a Wrestling match at WrestleMania is indeed a step forward for the comical cult icon, and a modest investment in his stock is warranted.
STOCK DOWN: Kofi Kingston
6 of 9
Remember Kofi Kingston? In a disturbing trend in WWE, Kofi has been steadily de-emphasized since capturing the once prestigious Intercontinental title the likes of Sheamus following his King of the Ring victory.
The case of Kofi Kingston, however, may prove to be worse as Kofi is nowhere to be found in the WrestleMania picture.
Stories of Kingston's merchandise being siphoned off is certainly a troubling sign with massive cuts rumored to take place following WrestleMania, and we recommend that you follow suit with his stock by getting what you can out of it.
STOCK DOWN: Alberto Del Rio
7 of 9
While we recommend continued investments in this fast growing stock, I cannot help but bring to light Del Rio's recent losing streak on TV.
The losing streak is likely strategic, as WWE wants to make it appear as if Del Rio will not capture the World Championship this Sunday which has been the expected scenario for a while.
STOCK UP: Michael Cole
8 of 9
When he's not spewing sexually insensitive, homophobic slurs, Michael Cole is picture perfect in his ahead-of-his-time role as the bombastic play-by-play announcer of RAW.
Cole's likeness incited questions as to whether or not he was getting the right type of heat, and whenever that school of thought takes the inquisitive form, chances are the heel in question is getting the right type of heat.
Cole has contributed to a strong build up of what might be the most anticipated match on the card with Jerry Lawler, and has put himself in prime position to get his comeuppance through obnoxious antics and promos spawned over the course of months.
STOCK UP: The Possibility of a Rock Return
9 of 9
With Cena hitting the attacking the Rock this past Monday on RAW, let speculation pertaining to an in-ring return for the Rock heated up.
The Rock surely won't John Cena get the last laugh, and anything in a non-wrestling role will not be enough. The Rock has left the door open for a possible return in interviews, and with SummerSlam coming to Los Angeles later on this year, and WrestleMania XXVIII to be held in the Rock's hometown of Miami, chances of the Rock finally returning to the ring are looking better than they have in years.
