WWE/TNA Mark Madness 2011 Wrestling Tournament: Here Is Your Winner...
After over 20,000 votes were cast this week to determine the King of the Internet, it was none other than John Cena who rose to the occasion once again to register his fourth consecutive victory in a match which he trailed by double digits.
John Cena has become the most polarizing pro wrestling figure of this generation, bringing joy to the hearts of children and tweens, while inciting ire from more informed fans who tend to inhabit the Internet.

This tournament has basically shown us that John Cena receives a "hate him or love him" reaction even on the Internet, which is surprising within the 50 percent of jaded wrestling fans who seem to have taken a liking to the controversial poster boy of the WWE.
The first day of the championship round saw A.J. Styles jump out to a commanding 11 percent lead for much of the initial 24 hours. Towards the end of the day, however, Cena would not only close the gap, but he would take the lead heading into the final day of voting.
From there, Cena and Styles would go on to exchange small leads in what was the electronic version of Cena and any given opponent throwing back-and-forth punches at each other while the audible, anti-Cena portion of the crowd "boos" for punches Cena lands, and cheers for punches in which he takes.
As if this match needed more drama, the server hosting the tournament bracket crashed and went down temporarily during the final hour of voting. when it was still anybody's game. Perhaps the matchup had gone into overtime as the false finish kept observers on pins and needles, eager to find out if Cena had actually pulled off the unthinkable.
He did.
By a score of 50.1 percent to 49.9 percent, John is 2011's Mark Madness Champion. And, like it or not, John Cena has been crowned as the first king of the Internet wrestling community.
