Blogger's Views: "Arseblogger" On Arsenal
Recently, I did an interview with Yogi's Warrior of A Cultured Left Foot and asked him about Arsenal's title chances this season, among other things.
Today, though, I have managed to get a few questions through to one of the bloggers who is very popular among the Arsenal fans - Arseblogger, or simply, Blogger!
Arseblog provides very interesting, and animated views about Arsenal and is a website which is updated everyday. You'll end up having a laugh here and there - it's great fun reading this blog!

So, I asked Blogger about our chances this season, especially after the Hull game and other questions of course:
1. We've been a mixed bag this season, haven't we? What do you attribute this to?
Primarily I think this is down to the relative youth of the squad. Young players are generally more inconsistent than experienced ones and to perform at a high level every week is a challenge, even for the best teams. That said it's not the younger players that have let us down, really. It's just that when you do need something a bit special
it's not always there. As well as that Cesc is so vital for us and he hasn't got going yet this season.
2. Do you think that Arsene's faith in the youth is justified? Are they doing all they can to vindicate his faith in them?
Some of them are. You look at the Carling Cup game and there was a team that was hungry and eager to show the manager what they can do. On the other hand though there is the danger of overplaying a result like that. They certainly won't win every game 6-0 so it's important for fans to keep some perspective.
As for the boss's faith - well, I think it will only be justified when we win some silverware. He believes they're good enough to do it, they've yet to prove it so it's a question that's probably best off answered at the end of the season.
3. Gallas - I kind of supported him for his shenanigans against Birmingham City last year - but this year, his performances which should be criticized. Why is he ignoring/under performing in his primary function ie. defending?
I don't know what exactly is wrong with him but the goals he's been at fault for have been very basic errors. He gave up for the Fulham goal, stood watching for the Bolton goal and was nowhere near committed enough for the Hull goal. I suspect there's an element of complacency. He knows he's a senior player, he knows he's the captain and he's going to play every game. I think it's time the manager gave him a bit of a wake up call and dropped him. Get Djourou in and then pick the team on merit, not reputation.
4. Porto tomorrow, expecting a response?
Yes, we responded well to the Fulham defeat, there's no reason why we can't do it again. Especially if some players are given a chance to impress and stake a claim for a first team place.
5. Wenger's promised some changes for the game against Porto - do you think he will make those changes?
I think so but I don't know quite where he'll make them. I think certainly one of Gallas and Toure will make way, as will one of van Persie and Adebayor. I can't see him dropping both. We should see Nasri back in the side as well.
6. Do you think that we can still win the Premiership? Of course, it's a premature question, but after our inconsistency so early on in the season - especially against the likes of Fulham and Hull - can we beat the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United to the title?
I think we can provided we don't draw too many games. We've lost twice but we're still only two points off. I think a lot depends on the games we play against Liverpool, United and Chelsea. I have a feeling the points will be spread around a lot more in these games this season so that might allow us to cope with the odd poor result, which I think
we're going to get.
I thank Blogger a lot for his time, and wish to catch up to him sometime in the future.
