Oakland Raiders: Al's Legacy?
After about 6 hours to wind down, and a few good burgers, me and my group started to hash out the game.
It wasn't looking any better.
It's one thing to lose a close game, like the one against Buffalo. Losing a 9 point lead in less than 10 minutes....sounds more like a problem for the basketball court, not a football field.

But, in that, we got to see what happens when bad coaching matches off with inexperience.
Sure, I would have loved if Miller had a second TD, instead of slipping on the grass near the end zone.
I would have loved, if the Raiders would have played it better at the end of the first half, instead of letting Janik try to set a personal record, and have the league test him for performance-enhancing drugs.
But in all of this, the conspiracy theorists keep hashing out, it makes a lot more sense: the league won't let the Raiders catch a break until Al dies.
Ah, Al Davis. As some would say, every league needs one. But at the same time, the league would like to NOT have one.
A maverick. Someone willing to kick the league when they want everyone to follow the rules, Al had that ability to bend it just enough.
Heck, if he was still a head coach, videotaping would still be illegal, but you'd have to have camera crews in the stands, to catch Al's people breaking the rules.
And then Al would just buy a satellite.
But for all the things Al has brought, is this his legacy, that we have to play games with long odds, even when things are supposed to be even?
I'd like to know where the Ref, #53, calls home.
After all, go look up where Ed Hochuli comes from.
