Joe Flacco Is Upset with Baltimore Ravens Over Jim Zorn Firing
In his first sign of discontent as a Baltimore Raven, quarterback Joe Flacco voiced his displeasure over the firing of quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn last week. Flacco feels that the firing of Zorn is an indictment of his play at the quarterback position over the past year.
The fact is that the firing of Zorn is a sign that the Ravens are not pleased with the play of their third-year quarterback. Flacco is pretty good, but he should be better by now.
Flacco had the best statistical season by a Ravens quarterback in a long time. He threw 25 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions. Those are average numbers for most quarterbacks, but great for a Ravens quarterback. This is a team that had Kyle Boller, Trent Dilfer and Troy Smith playing quarterback over the past few years. Flacco is the best Ravens quarterback since an older Steve McNair had that magical 13-3 season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The problem with Flacco is that he has not proven to be special yet. He does not win games single-handedly and has not separated himself from the decent quarterbacks in the NFL. He is in the class of Mark Sanchez, Matt Cassel, David Garrard, Tony Romo and Jay Cutler. He is pretty good, but not great. He has no playoff game-defining play. He has faltered in the playoffs over the last three years, failing to lead the team to a win when they needed him the most.
Until Flacco steps up and joins the ranks of Big Ben, Peyton, Tom Brady or even Eli Manning, he has no right to feel disrespected. He hasn’t earned that right yet. If Flacco wins when it really matters, he can gripe.
