Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Vikes opened up with an 0-2 start with Tarvaris Jackson, with 308 yards, one touchdown, one interception, one fumble, and minuscule 64.8 QB rating. Obviously, when you have a weapon like Adrian Peterson at your disposal, you want to have an effective passing offense to open up the running game for Peterson and Taylor.
“I feel like we have an opportunity here that I don’t want to let pass by,” Coach Childress said. “Obviously we have a chance to have a successful season, and I think, so we don’t let things potentially slip away, what we’re doing is I’m going to make a change at quarterback.”
On that note, Bernard Berrian has been as silent, with 38 yards after the first two games. With that in mind, many have been asking, "Where is Berrian?" With the amount of zeros on No. 87's contract, he should be, at bare minimum, waving his arm vigorously, wide open, and that still doesn't excuse his performance so far. Not to mention, he's been injury plagued as of recently.
Sidney Rice is also out with an injury. He had an MRI on Monday, and the results were delayed, and his time out will vary at this point.
After the second game of the season, the Vikings learned the most important lesson anyone who has ever played football has learned...Scoring in sets of seven will obviously get you to victory a lot quicker then in sets of three.
The Vikings were in the red zone three times of their six trips inside the Colts' 30-yard line. Of those, they got five of six field goals. On third downs, the Vikes were two for 17. To make it clear, you need to break it in.
Adrian Peterson was on tap to have an awesome game by halftime, with 118 yards. He ended up with only 160 and no touchdowns. This was mainly due to poor play calling. They kept handing it to Peterson when airing it out seemed most obvious.
They were playing scared and trying to baby a 15-0 lead midway through the third quarter. The Colts then bounced back to score 18 unanswered points to win it with a Adam Vinatieri field goal with eight seconds remaining.
It ought to be suggested that the Vikings make a trade of some sort for a QB that can command this team. Gus Frerotte will be an excellent band-aid, but they need stitches for this big a gash.
We'll see how a troubled offense fairs Sunday against a 2-0 Carolina Panthers team at the Dome. One things is for sure, it will be an entirely different game from this past Sunday.
