Miami Dolphins: Who the Fins Should Hire As Offensive Coordinator
Names like Brad Childress, Brian Daboll, John Garrett, Chris Palmer and Rob Chudzinkski have all been thrown into the mix for the Miami Dolphins' Offensive Coordinator position.
Honestly, I think they are all horrible choices.
Daboll has just been an average offensive coordinator with the Cleveland Browns.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
John Garrett has never been an OC and is just one of Sparano and Ireland's boys from Dallas, we all know how well those work out (insert sarcasm).
Chris Palmer is Dan Henning except just a few years younger, but not by much.
Rob Chudzinkski looks good on paper, but he is not very established.
Brad Childress has the best resume and is the "splash" type of OC Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is looking for. However, the way things went down in Minnesota has to make you a bit weary. The offense was bland and he never stood up to Brett Favre.
Plus, I think Childress wants to take a year or two off from coaching and just collect his three million dollars from the Vikings.
So where should the Dolphins turn for the OC position?
Tom Clements.
Clements has spent the last five seasons as the QB coach for the Green Bay Packers. He has 18 years worth of coaching overall, including two seasons as an OC.
In Green Bay, Clements has been responsible for grooming Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers went from a system QB in college, that caused his draft stock to slip, to now one of the best QBs in the NFL. All under the watchful eye of Clements.
Before Green Bay, Clements was the OC in Buffalo for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. He increased Buffalo's scoring and improved the pass blocking greatly (from 51 sacks given up to 38 in his first year).
He also led Kelly Holcomb to break Jim Kelly's season completion percentage record. That's right folks, he helped KELLY HOLCOMB break a Jim Kelly record.
Before Buffalo, he was the Pittsburgh Steelers QB coach from 2001-2003. That included coaching up Tommy Maddox to be the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2002.
Clements has a good track record. He has gotten good things out of poor QBs and he has developed a QB with potential into a great QB.
This is the type of guy the Dolphins need as an OC. A guy who has proved he can call plays, develop schemes and, most importantly, can develop and coach his players.
He has been at Green Bay for a long time so he may not want to leave, but once the Packers are out of the playoffs Stephen Ross needs to give Tom Clements a call and see if he can convince Clements to leave.
