Dear Vince Young...
Dear Vince,
We hear your feelings were hurt last week when your fans booed.
We think we can help. We're sort of experts on the subject.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
You see, we've booed everyone from Santa Claus to Mike Schmidt. It's been said that we would have booed Christ for dropping the cross. Blasphemous, yes. But probably true.
Believe it or not, it's a compliment. "Boo" means fans have high expectations for you. They care. They want you to succeed. They're frustrated by your struggles, as are you, and are communicating that emotion to you.
If mediocrity were the norm, you wouldn't get that reaction.
This is where Jimmy Rollins got it wrong. We're not front runners. We're there year in and year out. We cheer when you win. We boo when you lose. But we're there. And we bleed home team colors.
So this development in Tennessee is actually promising. Perhaps the Titans are finally establishing solid roots in the fan base. Perhaps SEC football isn't the only game in town anymore. Perhaps fans are starting to expect things from its NFL team, and aren't just happy to have stolen a team from Houston.
This is probably a new concept for you. Since the first day you laced them up as a child, you have likely been the best player on the field. You were pumped up by coaches along the way, and told that you were special, that you were the best, and your success in college and drafting by the Titans is proof that they were right.
But now the field is more level. Everyone here is the best of the best.
You're going to hear "boos."
Embrace them. Use them. Change them.
Because when fans stop caring enough to boo, chances are you'll soon be sitting with them.
Best wishes,
Philly Fans
