10 Bold Predictions for Andrew Luck's Junior Season at Stanford

Richard LangfordJun 7, 2018

Andrew "Press His" Luck is retuning to Stanford for his junior season. People that didn't have Luck on top of their mock drafts were doing so for nothing, but shock value. He was the clear-cut No. 1 selection. While the announcement shakes up the draft, it effects the college landscape even more.

The following are 10 things we can expect to see from Luck in his junior season.

No. 10: Luck Will Rush for 100 Yards in a Game

With Luck's amazing passing ability his legs often go unnoticed. He is not Cam Newtown with his feet, but he is not Peyton Manning either.

Luck had four games in '10 where he rushed for over 60 yards. Luck running is the last thing teams prepare for when facing Stanford and he is going to bust off some long runs.

No. 9: Luck's TDs Will Drop

This past season, Luck threw for 32 TDs. He had six games where he threw at least three TDs.

Teams will be geared up to stop the Stanford pass more than ever. Luck will not be asked to put the ball in the end zone as much as he did this season and his TD numbers will fall.

No. 8: Luck Will Throw for Over 500 Yards in a Game

Stanford will be involved in at least one shootout next season and Luck is going to be throwing all over the field.

He is going to torch a defense by throwing over five bills worth of yardage.

No. 7: Luck Will Break the Consecutive Completions Record

The current record for consecutive completed NCAA passes sits at 24. That number is soon to be a thing of the past.

Luck is amazingly efficient. Luck is going to flirt with pushing that number to 30.

No. 6: Luck Will Throw Only 3 Interceptions

Luck only threw eight interceptions all year and half of those came in an early season back-to-back two-week stretch.

Luck is going to make turnovers a priority and he is going to be very stingy with his pass selection.

No. 5: Andrew Will Have Moments of Doubt

6 of 10

Luck is going to suffer through at least one hit that sends images of his career flashing before his eyes. Then as he lies on the turf he will wonder what in the world he was thinking when he returned to college.

No. 4: Andrew Will End His Luck

7 of 10

Tired of the endlessly horrible puns on his name, he will change his name.

The player that is soon to be formerly known as Andrew Luck, will become Andrew Fortuitous. After realizing the puns did not improve, he will later change that one, too.

No. 3: The Lucky Heisman Winner

Luck is going to start of the season as the Heisman favorite and he is going to end it that way. He will be in the spotlight all season and he will do nothing to diminish it.

No. 2: He Will Become a National Champion

Stanford ended the season playing as well as any team in the country.

They will lose six starters on offense, but Luck will be able to lead the new guys to the promised land. They are returning eight starters on a high-quality defense.

No. 1: It Will Be Deja-Vu All Over Again

After claiming every piece of hardware there is to claim, Andrew Luck is going to surprise everyone...again and come back for his senior season.

My prediction for the 2012 season? Stanford will change their name to the Stanford Andrew Fortuitouses.
