Cee's Power Rankings and Week 1 Review
How my rankings work:
If you lose, you drop, if you win you rise. You beat a good team you shoot up, you lose to a bad team and you drop further. You play good and lose, play bad and win, all these will be considered.
1. Dallas Cowboys (previously #5)

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After the top four teams lost and after dominating my previously ranked #9 team, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cowboys shoot up to #1.
The Cowboys have an explosive offense and ferocious defense can anyone stop them?
Leave it up to Philadelphia on Sunday, the game of the week.
2. New York Giants (#7)
The Giants absolutely dominated the Washington Redskins, and showed that they might still be the team that won it all last season.
Eli Manning made his case to be called an elite QB, Plaxico Burress looked like the best WR in the league, and the defense is still tough.
Next tough test Week 6 @ Cleveland
3. Pittsburgh Steelers (#8)
The Steelers dominated the Houston Texans in Steeler fashion. A tough defense and a strong running game.
Willie Parker is back. He rushed for 138 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Next test Week 2 @ Cleveland
4. New Orleans Saints (#10)
Beat Tampa Bay by the skin of their teeth, but their 1-0, and they beat a divisional foe.
Drew Brees threw for almost 350 yards in leading his team to the victory.
Next test Week 3 @ Denver
5. Buffalo Bills (Not Ranked in top 10)
The Bills destroyed Seattle by stopping them from passing, running, and winning.
Trent Edwards had just over 200 yards passing and Marshawn Lynch had 76 yards rushing but both looked sharp. The Bills played outstanding special teams and outstanding defense en route to their first win.
Next test Week 2 @ Jacksonville
6. New England Patriots (#3)
The Pats lost their top leader, top performer, most valuable player and anything else you want to call Tom Brady. Now it’s up to Matt Cassel, who has never started a college football game none-the-less a NFL game.
The Patriots barely skimmed by one of the NFL’s worst, the Kansas City Chiefs.
Next test Weeks 2-17
7. Carolina Panthers (NR)
They beat my previously ranked #1 Chargers, in a game many thought they’d get blown out in.
The Panthers played great defense, holding L.T. to under 100 yards rushing.
Next test Week 2 vs Chicago
8. Green Bay (NR)
They stopped Adrian Peterson, and the previously ranked #6 Minnesota Vikings.
Aaron Rodgers looked like Brett Favre at times and now it looks as though the Packers front office knew what they were doing.
Next test Week 3 vs Dallas
9. Philadelphia Eagles (NR)
Donovan McNabb went back in time and dominated a defense, too bad it was the Rams.
However, it’s a huge step and proof that the Eagles are back and scarring defenses.
Next test Week 2 @ Dallas
10. Denver Broncos (NR)
The Broncos’ were impressive in a 41-14 thrashing of the Raiders.
Jay Cutler looked like an all-star and the Broncos could do no wrong.
Next test vs San Diego
11. Tennessee Titans
Vince Young is out for now, but not to worry Kerry Collins is at the helm and he’s been there, done that.
12. Chicago Bears
The Defense is back. How did that happen? Anyway they beat the Colts.
13. Arizona Cardinals
Nothing special, but they did figure out that they need to get the ball to Anquan Bolden. It also didn’t hurt that they received 5 turnovers.
14. New York Jets
Brett Favre was not great but good enough to barely beat one of the worst teams in the NFL.
15. Baltimore Ravens
Young quarterback with an experienced defense and team. Hey, maybe that’s a good formula!
16. Atlanta Falcons
Rookie Matt Ryan was impressive. He can make some amazing throws.
17. San Diego Chargers
Disappointing! This team did lose their first few games last year, too.
18. Minnesota Vikings
Good defense, good running game, no pass offense.
19. Indianapolis Colts
Offense played like it was a preseason game. Payton Manning just needs to get back in the grove.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars
Tough loss. It was a tough game against a divisional foe and good team.
21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Same thing here, but they played toe-to-toe with less firepower than their opponents had.
22. San Francisco 49ers
Turned the ball over five times and had the ball only 7 minutes in the second half, but lost by only 10 points and had a chance late in the game.
23. Cleveland Browns
I’m sure the offense will get it together at some point but it was awful against the #1 ranked Cowboys.
24. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs played step for step with the defending AFC Champions and lost by 7 points. Look for this team to improve weekly.
25. Miami Dolphins
They played good against divisional foe, losing by just 6 points on a last minute interception in the end-zone.
26. Seattle Seahawks
Horrible. They got beat in every phase of the game and has lacked toughness for a long time now.
27. Washington Redskins
Offense was in disarray and so was the rest of the team.
28. Houston Texans
They were dominated by the Steelers, period.
29. Cincinatti Bengals
Something needs to be done in Cincinatti, this team is constantly declining.
30. Oakland Raiders
I feel for Raider fans. The Raiders had all the hype, all the new acquisitions, and all the same results. This franchise needs a complete overhaul from the ball boy to the owner.
31. Detroit Lions
The Lions need the same. Just turn it in and get something new finally.
32. St. Louis Rams
Ugly!
Week 1 Review
Most Impressive Team Performance
Buffalo Bills
The Bills defense was stout, good against the run and pass. They consistently pressured the quarterback and played great special teams. Trent Edwards looked like a seasoned pro and Lynch looked like an all-pro running back.
Most Impressive Offense
Philidelphia Eagles
Many people thought they were back but there was still a lot of doubt. Now there is no doubt this team is back to scoring a lot of points.
Most Impressive Defense
Chicago Bears
Who thought the Bears would hold the Colts to 17 points? If someone did, they lied.
Best QB
Drew Brees
The Saint threw for 343 yards, 3 touchdowns, and led his team to a victory in the closing minutes.
Best RB
Michael Turner
The Flying Falcon average 10 yards a carry and scored 2 touchdowns en route to a 220 yards rushing and a win.
Best WR
Plaxico Burress
The Giant dominated the Redskin secondary while catching 10 passes for 133 yards.
Best Defensive Player
John Abraham
He had 3 sacks and 5 tackles and help earn his team an upset.
Rookie of the Week
Eddie Royal
The Bronco rookie wide receiver taught the veteran DeAngelo Hall a few things on his way to 140+ yards receiving and one touchdown. (Thanks Sayre!)
