In the AFC, it’s the Baltimore Ravens at the Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens are -2-127 with a total of 41.5. The game is Sunday, January 9 at 1:00 EST. Capping it all off is the New York Jets vs. Indianapolis Colts. Indianapolis is -3 -120 with a total of 45. The game is Saturday, January 8 at 8:20 PM.

Elsewhere, top basketball betting expert Matt Rivers has St. John’s (+3) to Georgetown Monday.

Georgetown is probably the better team when compared to the Johnies and when all is said and done, the Hoyas more than likely will go farther in the NCAA Tournament. But the Red Storm have really started to fire away on all cylinders of late and therefore, I’ll roll with them as this never terrible home dog.

Jim Lavin’s boys just won at West Virginia as the double digit dog and in that last game defeated Providence on the road after the Storm beat up on then undefeated Northwestern which is quite impressive in my book. Not too shabby results for a team that seemed to be teetering a bit earlier on with losses against St. Bonaventure and Fordham.

Now at 9-3 Hardy, Burrell, Kennedy, Brownlee, and the rest of the Johnies should be pretty darn confident and ready to continue this run against the rival of all rivals in the Hoyas. This may not be the days of Ewing, Dalton, Williams and the rest against Berry, Mullin, Jackson, Wennington and the then Red Men but it’s still St. John’s against Georgetown and a game that will have both teams fired up and a raucous home crowd.

Lavin’s boys are experienced and senior laden and should be more than ready to continue this run and be in this thing until the very end against John Thompson III’s talented Hoyas. I do expect the high quality Hoya guards in Wright and Freeman to do their thing and overall for this game to be a war that will be hotly contested until the end. Therefore to scoop up what I can with the suddenly sizzling Storm is the right side.

The pick: St. John’s

For more information: Matt Rivers has  400,000* Houston along with a 200,000* on the Lions equaled a 2-0 Sunday sweep. I feel that one of my patented sick runs is upon us and am ready to absolutely obliterated that Crookie. A trio of winners today including another 400,000* major release, ala the Texans yesterday, involving Virginia Tech and Stanford. Tyrod Taylor against Andrew Luck baby, tuck in the kids, bust out a pop and watch a great game and the dough roll in. Bonus plays on the hardwoods; 200,000* Michigan State-Northwestern along with a 100,000* Rhode Island-Florida. 3-0 sweep from Matt Rivers is up for Monday
