LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh: Would Kevin Love Ignite the Heat?

Jack WindhamJan 1, 2011

A couple of days ago, LeBron James pondered publicly how Kevin Love could help out quite a bit of teams in the league if contraction were to happen.

Interestingly enough, the Miami Heat could be the team that needs him the most.

One of the big concerns for the Heat when they teamed up James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh last summer was the lack of depth. With those three taking up much of the team's cap room, it was going to be hard for Pat Riley and his staff to fill out the rest of the roster.

With three great scorers on the same team, the Heat needed to find as many shooters as possible to complement their trio of superstars. Eddie House and Mike Miller were signed to add scoring potential to their perimeter.

A shooter at one of the power positions, though, could make the Heat deadly.

Not only is Love one of the better rebounders in the league, he also brings a different element on the offensive side. He's a very good outside shooter, which would clear up quite a bit of space in the paint for Wade and James to slash through. Bosh also would have the low blocks to himself.

The addition of Love might be exactly what the Heat need to beat out the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks.
