St. Louis Rams (Rams Schedule)

Opponent Defensive Ranks

San Francisco Pass Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 20th - TDs Allowed T-15th

San Francisco Rush Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 11th – TDs Allowed T-8th

St. Louis Offensive Cast

Sam Bradford (QB Week 10 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 171/292 – for 1,674 yards & 11 TDs

As much as I like him, I couldn’t get him into my rankings this week because he’s simply not as good on the road as he is at home just yet.

Steven Jackson (RB Week 10 Ranking: No. 15) 2010 Season: 172 carries for 676 yards & two TDs || 17 receptions for 169 yards & zero TDs

SJax should be back in full force after a bye week to take care of his little finger problem, so don’t be surprised if he goes a little berserk in this game.  Sure, San Fran is stout against the run, but Jackson has seen it all before and is ready to do some damage.

Danny Amendola (WR Week 10 Ranking: No. 31) 2010 Season: 45 receptions for 379 yards & two TDs

He’s not a threat for the long ball, but in PPR leagues, he’s worth a play.  San Fran can be passed on, and with their rush D being real solid, Bradford will have to toss it up a bunch.

Danario Alexander (WR Week 10 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: Five receptions for 78 yards & one TD

Alexander will be sitting this one out recovering from minor knee surgery.

Brandon Gibson (WR Week 10 Ranking: No. 46) 2010 Season: 18 receptions for 228 yards & one TD

Gibson had a nice seven-target, six-catch, 67-yard game just before the Rams bye, and because Bradford can’t throw the ball to Amendola every single play, you just might see Brandon make a little noise against a below-average 49ers secondary.

Laurent Robinson (WR Week 10 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 12 receptions for 75 yards & one TD

Supposedly Laurent is back up to full-speed and should be showing it soon, but wait off using him on your fantasy team until he does.

Daniel Fells (TE Week 10 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 20 receptions for 188 yards & two TDs

He’s a good looking, young TE that could have a bright future with Bradford at the helm, but he’s not so much of a fantasy threat just yet.

San Francisco 49ers (49ers Schedule)

Opponent Defensive Ranks

St. Louis Pass Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 16th - TDs Allowed T-6th

St. Louis Rush Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 7th – TDs Allowed 2nd

San Francisco Offensive Cast

Troy Smith (QB Week 10 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 12/19 – for 196 yards & one TD

Troy will get the nod once again this week, but don’t think about playing him against a pretty darn good Rams D.

Alex Smith (QB Week 10 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 143/242 – for 1,554 yards & nine TDs

Smith will be out for at least another week, so keep him stashed on your fantasy bench for now.

Frank Gore (RB Week 10 Ranking: No. 6) 2010 Season: 164 carries for 691 yards & two TDs || 38 receptions for 348 yards & two TDs

Gore hasn't put up the TDs quite yet this season, but he will, and the Rams are the team he’ll do it against.  Over the last two years, he’s averaged 106.5 yards and 1.5 TDs against them on just 20.5 carries a game.  With Troy Smith running the show, you can bet Gore will get at least that amount of rushes and put up somewhere around the same type of numbers.

Michael Crabtree (WR Week 10 Ranking: No. 27) 2010 Season: 31 receptions for 385 yards & three TDs

Troy Smith and Crabtree hooked up for a TD last game, and even though he only caught three passes in the contest, Smith should at least have enough confidence to try him out again this Sunday.

Josh Morgan (WR Week 10 Ranking: Not ranked) 2010 Season: 21 receptions for 268 yards & one TD

Josh has a ton of talent, but he seems to forget how to use it whenever he walks out on the field.

Vernon Davis (TE Week 10 Ranking: No. 3) 2010 Season: 33 receptions for 434 yards & four TDs

Vernon got himself a much needed rest this past week with the ‘Niners on their bye, so he should be coming out full speed again this Sunday against the Rams.  The fantasy stud tight end put up a TD in each of his games against St. Louis last year, and though the Rams have definitely improved, I still have a hard time seeing them be able to stop Davis in Week 10.
