Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Raiders made one of the worst picks we will ever see in choosing Heyward-Bey over Michael Crabtree. They may have redeemed themselves a bit by landing Jacoby Ford in the fourth round of the 2010 draft. Ford ran the fastest 40-yard dash at the 2010 NFL combine, so it’s a bit surprising that Al Davis managed to wait until the fourth round to take him off the board, after all if we have learned anything from Al Davis it’s that talent is meaningless, all that matters is speed. The Raiders are starved for quality wide receivers and we think Ford is going to assume a starting role for the Raiders. He is a guy you should be targeting if you need wide receiver help or depth. Ford is even more attractive if he is floating out there in your dynasty league.
Final Spin: Pick him up to use now and for the future.
WR Seyi Ajirotutu, San Diego Chargers
Remember the name Toni Basil? No. And you won’t remember Seyi Ajirotutu for long either. This was the week nine equivalent of the Toni Basil’s 1982 hit Mickey. One hit wonder. Vincent Jackson, Malcolm Floyd, Legadu Name, and Antonio Gates will be back and Ajirotutu will resume his position deep on the bench. Don’t even give him a second look if you are in a redraft league. Jim Bukowski of FantasySharks.com says dynasty league owners may want to keep an eye on Seyi. He is a rookie that made the most of his opportunity.
Final Spin: Strictly a dynasty play.
RB Julius Jones,
Interestingly Jones started the game, not Chris Ivory. Ultimately Ivory ended up suffering a separated shoulder and Jones reentered the game. If the Saints played next week Jones may be a decent one week fill in player. The Saints, however, are entering their bye week and when they return to action so too should Reggie Bush. Jones may have no role at all on the team at that point, especially if Chris Ivory and/or Pierre Thomas are ready to play. Let someone else pick him up in an excited panic.
Final Spin: He’s Julius Jones. Pass on him.
Santonio Holmes
Holmes is the most talented receiver on the Jets roster. Even with is habit of waking and baking, and the stupidity to brag about it and tendency to fail drug tests, he’s less of a headache than Braylon Edwards. Holmes should continue to see more and more targets. He won’t make Edwards irrelevance this year, but he will out produce him and he will probably be a Jet next year, can’t say the same about Edwards. The question on Holmes is not whether to pick him up or not, he’s owned in the vast majority of leagues. The question we have gotten fairly often is whether or not he is a guy that should be in starting lineups. The answer is yes.
Final Spin: You can safely put him in your starting lineup and leave him there for this season and beyond.
James Jones
Jones does not have the best hands, which may be an understatement. Nonetheless, what we saw on Sunday was a glimpse of the potential that has made Jones a fixture on preseason fantasy football sleeper lists. We agree with our friends at Razzball who say that even when Driver returns to the lineup, Jones will continue to produce. Drive is not getting any younger and we think James Jones is the guy to replace him next year. For this season he should be an adequate WR#3 or flex player. Dynasty owners should look at him as guy that could be a solid starter for them beginning next season.
Final Spin: Scoop him up if he is available. Low end starter or fill in option for 2010. More than that in future years.
Check out the spin on "THE BAD", including Brandon Marshall, Beanie Wells, Felix Jones, and more.
