Cam Newton: Auburn Star and Heisman Hopeful Center of NCAA Probe
Auburn superstar quarterback and Heisman trophy candidate Cam Newton is reportedly under investigation according to a story by ESPN.
The report mentions that soon after Newton's visit to Mississippi State, the school that ended up being Newton's second choice, contact was made with former Mississippi State quarterback John Bond about Newton coming to the school and what it would take.
"He said it would take some cash to get Cam," Bond said. "I called our athletic director, Greg Byrne, and he took it from there. That was pretty much it."
ESPN goes on to name the man who made contact with Bond, allegedly on Newton's behalf.
Here's what we know about the developing story.
