Terrelle Pryor beat out the three-headed quartet from the University of Michigan to win the Silver Medal Award for the KSI Index (Spread-QB) National Quarterback of the Week Award. It is important to note that the three headed quarterbacking monster from Wolverine country had a sensational showing considering both Denard Robinson and Tate Forcier were injured on the day. The three (including #2 starter Devin Gardner) finished 23-of-26 for 255 yards passing and two touchdowns through the air. The quartet also rushed for 184-yards on 15 carries, scoring three touchdowns rushing.
Pryor was equally effective going 20-of-26 on the day for 224-yards through the air, while rushing 7 times for 104-yards and 1 touchdown rushing. When adding his four touchdowns through the air with his touchdown romp with his feet, the five touchdowns proved to be the difference maker.
It would have been interesting to see what Denard Robinson could have accomplished if he hadn’t been injured in the second quarter. Robinson, in a little over a quarters worth of work, was 4-of-4 passing for 60 yards through the air while rushing 5 times for 129 yards. He contributed two rushing touchdowns before his injury, which occurred on his longest rush of the day, a 36-yard scamper up the Michigan sideline.
