The Macho Rhino NFL Power Rankings For Week 3
With week 2 over, it’s time to look ahead with our NFL Power Rankings. Here’s how the 32 NFL teams stack up for week 3 of the 2010 season.
1. New Orleans Saints – Two wins already over expected playoff teams this season.
2. Green Bay Packers – Showed their force in blowing the Bills out in the second half.
3. Houston Texans – That comeback showed this team they know how to win. They’re the best in the AFC right now.
4. Indianapolis Colts – Got back on track with the demolition of the Giants Sunday night.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers – The defense is dominant again as they stifled the league’s best back Chris Johnson. They’ll be really good when Big Ben returns.
6. New York Jets – If the offense can continue to play like it did in the second half against the Pats, they could live up to their own hype.
7. Cincinnati Bengals – Got a solid win over the Ravens in turning Joe Flacco over four
8. Baltimore Ravens – Joe Flacco followed up a nice week 1 with a bad week 2 and they suffered from some bad calls last week too.
9. Miami Dolphins – Their defense is playing great so far but they’re going to need the offense to make more plays to be a Super Bowl contender.
10. New England Patriots – Fell flat in the second half against the Jets. Can their defense make a stop when it has to?
11. Tennessee Titans – A tough game against the Steelers may lead to a QB controversy after Vince Young was replaced by Kerry Collins.
12. Philadelphia Eagles – So it’s Michael Vick’s team now. Their defense will need to get better for them to make the playoffs.
13. Atlanta Falcons – Playing the Cardinals gives you a confidence boost. Are they back to contender status?
14. Washington Redskins – A nice game against the Texans dissolved in the fourth quarter and ultimately OT.
15. Kansas City Chiefs – The offense has to find a way to get the ball in the endzone.
16. San Diego Chargers – Played well in the route of the Jags. Phillip Rivers will carry this team as far as he can.
17. Chicago Bears – Starting 2-0 is nice but they got a lucky call in week 1.
18. Minnesota Vikings – Must stop turning the ball over.
19. San Francisco 49ers – Got back to running the ball on Monday night but came up just a little short. Should see improvement each week from this team.
20. Denver Broncos – A team that’s going to be solid each week.
21. New York Giants – Things got ugly for them Sunday night. They need to trade Brandon Jacobs while he still has some value.
22. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – They’re undefeated but haven’t faced much competition.
23. Dallas Cowboys – Their offense has to get it together. If they want to make the playoffs this year, they’re going to need to make a move to wake this team up. Someone needs to get cut.
24. Jacksonville Jaguars – Needs to play better on the road than the awful performance at San Diego on Sunday.
25. Detroit Lions – Nice rally in the fourth but couldn’t come all the way back to win. Definitely an improving team though.
26. Seattle Seahawks – Tough to figure out after a great week 1 performance at home and then a terrible road performance this week.
27. Cleveland Browns – Need to figure out a way to get Josh Cribbs more involved in the offense. He’s their best player by far but doesn’t get nearly enough touches.
28. Oakland Raiders – They still are playing musicial chairs at QB. Until that stops, they’re not going to win many games.
29. Carolina Panthers – Maybe Jimmy Clausen can help them win but they need more than just a QB.
30. St. Louis Rams – They’re competitive but have to find a way to win games in the fourth quarter.
31. Buffalo Bills – They don’t have a NFL starting caliber QB on their roster right now.
32. Arizona Cardinals – They have to go find a QB now.
