Randy Moss To the Washington Redskins...I'm Just Throwing It Out There
To quote Michael Corleone, "Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in."
I'm referring to the situation at Redskins Park with Albert Haynesworth.
I honestly thought I was done with him.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I thought, "Hey there is no one (barring injury to their defense) in their right mind who would take this guy off our hands."
That was until New England Patriot Randy Moss got to the podium in his flamboyant San Fransisco Giants outfit.
As soon as he said that he didn't think he'd be a Patriot next and that he wasn't retiring it got the 'ol hamster wheel in my head spinning.
Randy is obviously upset with his team, Albert is obviously upset with his team. They're both big divas, why not swap one headache for another.
This benefits the Redskins because they obviously need a receiving threat outside of tight end Chris Cooley, and under sized Santana Moss.
Instantly teams would have to respect the Skins' passing game and whenever they lined up three wide you'd have to automatically think, pass and then the team could run a draw play or shovel pass.
Randy Moss is also in a contract year and is going to want to get paid, so we'll see his best because he'll be playing for an owner who likes to over pay for stars.
Also I think catching passes from Donovan McNabb and being coached by Mike Shanahan, Moss should behave for at least two seasons.
There are, however, a couple of hic-ups.
First the Patriots play a 3-4 defense like the Skins.
Not sure if Haynesworth would want to go there and do the same thing he's doing here.
Of course, if Bill Belichick wanted him, he's got a way about him to deal with diva players (see Randy Moss and Corey Dillion), plus he's got three rings to Mike Shanahan's two, so maybe Haynesworth will listen to him.
The other hic-up is whether or not either team would want to trade one headache for another.
Both players, when motivated, have a whole lot of upside, but they've got to be motivated.
I think with Moss coming to D.C. and the promise of a contract extension would be motivation enough for him and he'd deliver enough big plays to make his diva attitude worth it, maybe.
Haynesworth on the other hand (no matter what you promise him or how much money you give him) probably won't be motivated to go from one 3-4 to another.
This situation is wishful thinking at its best and probably has absolute zero chance of even being discussed between the two teams.
However, stranger things have happened. Until next time loyal reader, follow me on Twitter for more off the wall trade scenarios (@jomac006)
