Four Teams Make Trade Offers For Houshmandzadeh

Bryan BrackneySep 4, 2010
Joe Reedy is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks have gotten offers from the Vikings, Jets, Cardinals, and Chargers for T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Houshmandzadeh will be released if the Seahawks can't trade him.
UPDATE: Tom Pelissaro of ESPN 1500 is reporting that the Vikings have not made a trade offer for Houshmandzadeh.
The Vikings are showing interest in Houshmandzadeh because of injuries to Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin. The Chargers are looking at the receiver because of the Vincent Jackson situation. Larry Fitzgerald has had the injury bug and the Cardinals lost Anquan Boldin this offseason. Santonio Holmes will miss the first couple games because of his suspension.

Of the four teams showing interest, the Cardinals might be the least likely, since the Seahawks might not want to trade to a team in their conference, but then again, the 'hawks traded Kentwan Balmer to the 49ers.
Although four teams have shown interest, Gregg Rosenthal of ProFootballTalk still expects Houshmandzadeh to be released.

Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, who played with Houshmandzadeh in his glory days, tweeted that he will be lobbying heavily for the Bengals to get Houshmanzadeh. "Disturbing news, i cant even fathom the thought of a reciever the caliber of Housh being traded let alone released, i will be lobbying heavy."
Where do you think Houshmandzadeh will end up?
