The Top Ten MMA Heavyweights of All Time!
For years, people have always enjoyed watching the big guys go at it. I mean, even in the wrestling world, the heavyweights were always the main event. Now don't get me wrong, we all know that in today's world the lightweights and featherweights put on the best matches. But let's give this moment to the greatest MMA Heavyweights of all time that deserve our recognition.
Also, the lightweights can't eat us when they're mad. So, that's another reason why we should focus on these guys.
Here we go brother....
#10 Bob

"The Beast" has earned 11 wins in his MMA career. It is obvious from the deadly look that he gives people how dangerous this man really is. I mean, have you seen The Longest Yard? I would never mess with this guy, especially when he looks this crazy.
Definitely one of MMA's best heavyweights.
#9 Zuluzinho

One of MMA's biggest competitors, Wagner da Conceição Martins, aka Zuluzinho, has defininely left an imprint on the sport. People tried to cheat him out of his true record of 38-0 just because they were scared to death of him. How unfair is that! He would be higher on the list if it wasn't for that fateful day when some guy name Fedor got lucky and hit him a few times.
But still, this 400 lb. Brazilian will still go down in history as one of the best.
#8 Choi Hong-man

This Korean giant decided that he was to good for kickboxing and decided to take on a new challenge. That's when he joined the world of MMA in late 2006. He has had a very impressive career with notable wins over Bobby Ologun and the great designated hitter of baseball, Jose Canseco. Yeah that's right, he beat a BASEBALL player! Even with the bat in his hand, Canseco could not defeat "The Korean Colussus."
His career came to a halt, however, when once again that Fedor guy had the four-leaf clover in his pocket and somehow beat this legend.
#7 Mariusz Pudzianowski
4 of 10
The World's Strongest Man!!! And no, I'm not talking about Mark Henry. I'm talking about the "Dominator," Mariusz Pudzianowski. Look at the guns on that guy. I mean, you could not pay me enough money that would get me into the ring with that guy. The moment that bell rings and he starts coming towards me, I would poo my pants and start climbing the cage to get out of there.
Just looking at this guy will make anyone realize that he deserves to be remembered as one of the greats.
#6 Royce Gracie
5 of 10
It doesn't matter how much Royce Gracie weighed. He fought the big guys, and he beat the big guys. Therefore, I'll remember him as a heavyweight. I'm pretty sure that when Rey Mysterio won the world heavyweight chamionship, he was meant to symbolize Royce Gracie during the UFC's early years.
And yeah, I know he basically weighed the same as a welterweight. But this list is mine, and I'll make him whatever I want to make him.
#5 Seth Petruzelli

There are two reasons why he is on the list:
1. He was responsible for one of the greatest MMA upsets of all time
2. He has the best hair in MMA
I mean, look at that hair. It blinds the opponent and sends a false sense of security. He uses the hair to lure the opponent in and then finish him off (and I mean that in the most non-perverted way possible).
And yeah, I know he has fought most of his opponents at 205. But guess what? Once again, this is my list.
#4 Giant Silva
7 of 10
Many people did not take Paulo César da Silva, aka Giant Silva, seriously due to his previous career as a professional wrestler. Well, just ask Henry Miller and Akebono how dangerous this man is. Both of these fighters fell victim to Silva's superior use of the kimura. I mean look at the size difference here. It's like Sasquatch against one of the actors from The Wizard of Oz.
Giant Silva is definitely remembered as one of the greats, and that's the bottom line because Giant Silva said so.
#3 Akebono
8 of 10
Man, this guy did it all. Sumo wrestling, professional wrestling, kickboxing, and of course, MMA. There are some people who still doubt the skills of Akebono Taro. His MMA dominance was so far ahead of everyone else that Bobby Ologun was not able to finish him. That just goes to show you that size does matter.
He decided to retire because he was upset that so many fighters were unable to compete properly when all they could think about was that a fight with Akebono was waiting in their future.
#2 Andre the Giant
9 of 10
Since this is my article, I have the right to believe that if Andre would have lived longer, he would have taken up MMA. And I also believe that he would have dominated the competition. So what if it didn't happen? I believe so, therefore, I'm putting it in my article. He would have beaten most of the guys on this list, maybe even the guy in the No. 1 spot. Fighters are lucky that they never experienced the wrath of this true giant.
In all seriousness, R.I.P. Andre. You will always be remembered.
#1 Kimbo Slice
10 of 10
At last, the greatest heavyweight of all time....Kimbo Slice! The street legend that earned a large reputation heading in to MMA. He was tired of beating up guys in his neighborhood, so he took on MMA. The result? Dominance over Bo Cantrell and Tank Abbott. A comeback victory over James Thompson. He also tossed Houston Alexander around for three whole rounds.
I mean, he walked onto The Ultimate Fighter. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson immediately saw the skills of this titan and didn't hesitate to choose him for his team. People were so scared of him that they had to boot him out of the UFC as soon as possible.
His legacy will live on. Keep fighting Kimbo. You will return one day....
