'Transfer Ciesco': Cesc Fabregas Off the Hook for Now
After weeks of speculation and reasoning between Barcelona and Arsenal fans, the word is out that Cesc Fabregas will not be chased any further.
Well, at least for now, Barca will wait until Arsenal is ready to talk.
According to a statement made by Barcelona president Sandro Rosell, they could wait until next season before they make a move for Fabregas.

This after Arsenal seemed to ignore any talks with regards to the former Barcelona youth player.
"He [Fabregas] will arrive; even if it is not now, it will be next year," Rosell said. " One thing that is certain is that we will not go mad trying to sign him."
This after many Arsenal fans argued that the €29 million offer isn't good enough and that Fabregas should be respected and the rightful sum be offered.
As captain of Arsenal and one of the top midfielders in the world, many suggest his value is between €50-€60 million.
Barca made it clear they are not willing to pay an exaggerated fee.
Rosell continued, saying, "No shareholder would pay 60 or 70 million euros for him," and added, "We will not go all out for him. We would only pay his value in the transfer market."
Rosell also admitted that Arsenal were hurt by the fact that Barcelona are not lying down on the matter.
"Arsenal feels very hurt by Barca," said Rosell to Catalan TV3. They don't want to listen to offers or sell and they are not putting the player [Fabregas] on the market. There was a strong dispute a few months ago and they have not forgotten it."
On the other hand, Fabregas himself came out saying that he would like to enjoy his vacation and is not willing to discuss his future.
"I have not spoken to anybody in the last few days and I want to ignore anything regarding my future for now," said Fabregas. "I want to enjoy my holidays and I don't want to talk about Barcelona at this moment."
He went on, "I make no apologies for the comments I have made in the past. I have expressed my interest in returning and I stand by that, as that is my personal wish."
So while Barca might be prepared to calm down in terms of the chase, Arsenal fans will continue blasting Barca's tactics.
Arguably they have every right to feel angered, but if anything, what has Barca done wrong? They are pursuing a player with great interest, and like any other negotiation, when a bid or offer is refused, the party making the bid naturally won't relax but rather will continue in its efforts to land the deal.
Nevertheless, let's hope this "saga" will calm down for now, while we welcome some club football back on our screens, as most of the teams kick off their preseason campaigns this weekend.
