Full-time Synopsis: Holland have made the final, but again they have been less than impressive. Holland struggled for the most part to produce anything of real quality up front.
Credit must be given to Holland, they made the final without playing particulally well during the competition.
Uruguay really missed the three players that were out due to suspension and injury. the game as a whole was not the most eye-catching game, but it had some great goals and drama and was exciting without being entertaining.
93: Van Bommel finally got his yellow card.
The whistle blows and Holland are in the final. The game has ended with a clash of players as Uruguay were less than happy with how the game ended.
91: What a set-play! A simple pass to Maxi from a free-kick lead to the defender cutting inside Holland's full-back and he bent his shot perfectly around the big Dutch keeper.
Holland will be shaking now.
90: Again I do not understand how Van Bommel has gone the entire game without being sent-off. I am amazed.
89: Holland Sub: Robben comes off to give way to Elia.
Robben has not been his magical self, but it was his goal that tied the game up for Holland
87: He should have done so much better. Van Persie had his back to goal and received a pass. He feed the ball with one touch into Robben's path and he was one-on-one with the keeper and then fluffed an attempt chip.
He should have at least tested the keeper.
85: It looks like Suarez handball was in vain as his team has really missed him against Holland.
83: Uruguay Sub: Forlan comes off for Fernandez.
82: Holland look like they could score more as Uruguay push men up the pitch.
77: Uruguay Sub: Abreu comes on to replace Arevalo
Boulahrouz gets a yellow for a terrible tackle
73: And the game is over.
Arjen Robben has just scored Holland's third and finished the game off. Kuyt swung in a great cross. Robben came back and put his head onto it and buried it in the bottom corner.
Uruguay are done, sadly.
70: And there is the third of the game.
Against the run of play Holland came forward and punished Uruguay. Sneijder has been awarded the goal, but there is a possibility that it may be an own goal after a massive deflection. There is also a possible touch from Van Persie.
68: Holland's first real effort of the half. Van Persie's first involvement in an attacking move lead to a wide open shot that was well saved from the Uruguayan keeper, and Robben ballooned the follow-up
66: Forlan took a free-kick from a similar area to the one he thumped in versus Ghana.
The Dutch keeper got down to punch the ball away. Forlan gets some dip on the ball.
62: The game is going from end-to-end with neither team really creating a good goal-scoring opportunity.
55: The game is very scrappy with a lot of free-kicks been given by the referee.
51: That could have been bad for Holland! A shocking back-pass lead to Cavani nearly getting to the ball ahead of Stekelenburg who just got enough on it to allow Van Bronckhorst enough time to get back and head clear.
50: Holland have started the better of the two teams, but again they just seem to be lost for ideas when they getting into the final third.
45: Holland Sub: Van Der Vaart comes on to replace De Zeeuw. This will help the Dutch attack, which has been limp in the first-half, but asking Van Bommel to do all the donkey work in the middle may be a major risk.
The games gets going.
First-half Synopsis: The game has not been a classic to say the least but there has been some entertaining passages of play.
The game has been rocked by two fantastic strikes, both of which will leave the goalkeepers questioning if they could have done better.
Both teams have struggled at times to do anything creative with their possession, but the game has been enjoyable to watch, and it would be very hard to call.
46: Holland just strung some great passes together, and a peach of a ball over the top to Kuyt should have really resulted in a shot on goal, but Kuyt failed.
The half ends one a piece.
44: Holland have really failed to do anything of merit since going ahead. A few long-range efforts makes the majority of it, and their coach will have to be upset with how they reacted after going ahead.
42: What makes the strike even more impressive is that Forlan took it on with his left foot and drilled it home.
The Dutch keeper will have questions asked of him as he seemed to get a hand to it and fail to keep it out.
39: I will say it again! What a strike.
Diego Forlan just said to V. Bronckhorst, whatever you can do, I can do.
Forlan took the ball inside and let rip from about 35 yards out and the ball completely caught the Dutch keeper out and it is all square.
36: Uruguay have got their focus back after conceding the first goal of the game, and they seem to be passing the ball around nicely. They just need an end product.
34: What was he doing! Cavani showed a great piece of play walking past a Dutch challenge in the box but he wasted so much time in getting the cross in that three in orange were able to swarm him.
31: Cavani just went to ground like a hawk springing on a field mouse.
30: He should have done better! Robben showed great strength holding Caceres off as he stormed into the box, but the defender got back across and cleared the danger.
Robben really should have got a shot off at least.
29: Sneijder picked up a yellow for barging into Caceres in protest of his challenge.
Caceres also picked up a booking.
27: He nearly took his head off! Caceres attempted an audacious overhead kick and ended up taking the face off De Zeeuw.
It is never a good idea for defenders to be trying bicycle kicks, let alone when someone is heading the ball.
23: There is still plenty of time to go, but it is hard to see where Uruguay are going to get a goal from in this game. So far they have failed to create anything.
20: The first yellow is branded to Maxi for what can only be described as an idiotic tackle.
17: What a strike! Absolute sublime! Van Bronckhorst picked up the ball on the left winger, 35 yards out and just thundered the ball past the Uruguay keeper and in off the far post.
What a way to open the scoring.
16: Neither side has really put a craving attacking move together.
Holland are being allowed have possession by Uruguay, who seem content to sit off the Dutch until they get near the penalty area.
12: Twice the lineman has flagged Uruguayan players offside despite them being onside in good attacking positions.
Caceres is really struggling against Arjen Robben and it is definitely something Holland should be trying to exploit at every possible moment.
09: Luis Suarez was just shown sitting on the bench with a massive bandage on his finger. He must have hurt it during his goalkeeping training.
05: Worth a shot. Arevalo ran onto a knock on just past the half-way line and pinged a shot at the Dutch net.
Stekelenburg looked to have it covered but it was a nice idea, and effort.
03: He should have done much better. The Uruguay goalkeeper came out to punch clear, but just tipped the ball right onto Kuyt. His strike went harmlessly over and he should have really done better.
Robben set the opportunity up by dancing past Caceres with ease.
01: It only took ten seconds for the first sliding challenge to be launched in from Van Bommel.
00: The referee is from Uzbekistan, and it just puzzles me how a referee from such a small footballing nation can take over such an important, high profile game.
Uruguay get the party started.
5 minutes until kickoff: The players are just walking out onto the pitch and I think this game will be very tightly contested and I would not be surprised to see a lot of free-kicks awarded in this game, and plenty of bookings as well.
20 minutes until kickoff: Both teams are forced into changes due to players being suspended and injured. Holland get a boost in the back four with the return to fitness of Mathijsen.
Holland will see Caceres as the major weak stop in the Uruguay defense as he is a natural centre-half playing left-full. He will also be responsible for holding Arjen Robben at bay.
Team News:
Uruguay: 4-4-2
Muslera
Maxi - Victorino - Godin - Caceres
Pereira - Arevalo - Gargano - Perez
Forlan (C) - Cavani
Holland: 4-2-3-1

One To Watch: Arjen Robben
Prediction: I think this will be a close game, but Uruguay are without a number of starters due to suspension and injury.
Holland has been far from impressive throughout the competition, and I think they will find a tough test in Uruguay but will still manage to do enough to reach the finals.
