Johnson Will Be "Tough To Beat" Come Sunday at 110th U.S. Open
Dustin Johnson, the back to back AT&T National Pro-Am Champion, is once again finding his form at Pebble Beach.
"Keep playing like I'm playing, an I'll be tough to beat" Johnson gave words of confidence during a post third round press conference.
Johnson can afford fto be confident after firing a third round 66 to move him to -6 for the championship and a three shot lead over the 36-hole leader, Graeme McDowell.
The 66 included an eagle at the drivable fourth, and 5 other birdies.
Dustin Johnson has combined length, accuracy, and putting to the extent only seen by a few of the game's greats.
There may be only one thing stopping Johnson from his first major and third championship at Pebble Beach, Tiger Woods.
Tiger let out his roar in the third round, firing a 66 of his own to move him to -1 for the championship and third place.
Tiger shot 31 on the difficult back nine, including a two-putt birdie on the 18th hole.
Mickelson sturggled thoughout the day, unable to really got anything going and shot 73, +1 for the championship.
"I didn't strike it as great as I did yesterday," Mickelson said. "It happens. If I can get off to a good start tomorrow, you never know."
There are still many uncertainties about the 110th U.S. Open Championship, but one thing is for sure, come Sunday afternoon, the winner will be just as great as all the others at Pebble Beach.
