After two days of interesting football, it seems the World Cup is just blossoming into something more than spectacular.
Today we hope to see more, with two African nations to compete, Algeria will face European under-dogs Slovenia in Polokwane.
Ghana will face-off against hard hitting Serbia in Pretoria later this afternoon, then the big one for today, three times winners Germany will face Australia, who could spring a surprise. Their game will be at the newly built Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
All in all, great match-ups with much expectation and anticipation as thousands will flock to stadiums to witness their first ever World Cup thrill.
Looking at the three games, here are players who could play vital roles for their respective teams:
