Sampdoria-Juventus: Player Ratings In Black and White
Following back to back collapses against Siena and Fulham, it was important the Bianconeri got back to winning ways in Genoa against Sampdoria.
A game that looked to be heading towards a scoreless draw exploded to life when Antonio Cassano unleashed a 77th minute thunderbolt that seemed to carry under-fire Juve keeper Antonio Chimenti into the goal with it.
Another game, another disappointment for Juventus and her fans.

Antonio Chimenti: 5
Made some good saves that kept Juve in the game, including a couple late on that were impressive, but his performance is only ever going to be remembered for his complete failure to stop FantAntonio's winner. Should not be beaten from there, even at 39!
Jonathan Zebina: 5.5
Cannot stop crosses, struggles to keep up with any opponent with pace, offers little going forward, especially disappointing considering the team we crying out for width. Martin Caceres looks better the more games Zebina plays.
Fabio Cannavaro: 6
Defended very well tonight, doing a very good job on Pazzini, denying him time and space across the pitch. One of a number of players to respond following the Europa League exit.
Nicola Legrottaglie: 6
Much like Cannavaro he defended well and showed just the kind of form that was so sorely missed due to his European suspension. Also made a number of good blocks and was unlucky not to find the net from a set piece in the second half.
Fabio Grosso: 5
Back to the kind of form that saw Paolo De Ceglie take his place and showed he can no longer play two games in three days. Hopefully the younger man will be available on Thursday night for the trip to Naples.
Momo Sissoko: 6.5
Anchored the midfield well, covering a lot of ground and making plenty of tackles and interceptions. When Juve struggle to create he always seems to find the space that more creative team-mates crave, which often leads to him being criticised. Perhaps others should be observed more closely?
Claudio Marchisio: 6
Vital headed clearance on a first half corner saved Juve, but he was unable to provide more at the other end of the field. Appeared very frustrated here and was close to a second yellow prior to being taken off.
Christian Poulsen: 6
Out muscled by Palombo in midfield but he started this game well. Made a couple of key passes but is not the player Juventus need alongside Sissoko.
Diego: 5.5
Another who grew more frustrated as time wore on, but was so lacking in influence here he was sacrificed when the Bianconeri went chasing an equaliser when he should be the one providing the threat.
Alessandro Del Piero: 6.5
Sadly one of the only players to perform like Thursday's defeat hurt, he was unable to get the goal he so badly craved here. Made a number of good opportunities but was unable to complete the chances. Player of the Day
Vincenzo Iaquinta: 6
Ran himself to a standstill on his first start in 21 games, his long absence told here. Miscued his one good chance following a great pass from Poulsen. Can be pleased with his efforts.
Substitutes:
David Trezeguet: 5.5
Never going to work as hard as Iaquinta who he replaced on 56. The team took too long to adjust to the change in style.
Antonio Candreva: NM
No time to affect the game.
Mauro Camoranesi: NM
Came on too far late to affect the result, in a game where his team were crying out for a wide-player by half time.
