Star-Studded World Cup Ad 🤩
Stadiums are ready, Airports and other transport facilities are finalising their construction work and trials are be set on all on stadia.
But in the next 3 months or so, its left up to the common South Africa to prepare, and that's exactly what we are doing.
Having visited Durban and Cape Town recently, and living not far from Johannesburg the 'Colours of the World Cup" are seen everywhere, from the huge billboard adverts, to the street pole reminders.
We Are Ready for the World...
With so much negative press and criticism from Leading footballing countries, we hope our practical representation of the World Cup eliminates all such fears for future events.
Recent articles in newspaper in the UK, showed pictures of an unfinished sports facility to be used by the England National Team. When investigated, it was found that these pictures where taken almost one year ago, but to spite the preparations of the LOC, the newspaper criticised the LOC for not been on time.
Such reporting will not hurt us in any way, as South Africans, we drive past Stadiums, Sport Facilities, Entertainment Park, Shopping Malls, Hotels and can see the results of hard work and effort by the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and ordinary South Africans.
With hope and luck we aspire to be part of this magnificent showpiece, that will engulf every South African, Young an Old.
In a country that has so many diferences and opinions...there is already results of Unity and Pride. Something that was only partly represented in the early days after Apartheid during the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
Now a much bigger event comes in our path, which with the blessing from the Al-might, will unify this Great Nation.
As for our National Team, it proved its worth during the Confed Cup. Its time they step up and be counted as the few men to represent a nation at home during the most important of tournaments.
Yes, there is great support and admiration for the likes of Brazil, England, Portugal and Spain here in South Africa...But something that i have personally seen during the Confed Cup was, South Africans, Black, White, Indian or Coloured holding a South African flag and tearing as the National Anthem was sung.
For me, it was the Spain vs South Africa (Group Encounter) in Bloemfontien at the Free State Stadium that made my heart beat faster, 65 000 supporters singing the National Anthem with pride and respect. A moment in my life that i will never forget.
These are the reminders that make such occasions so special.
We welcome all to come an enjoy the many blessings that this country has to offer, yes we have crime like so many other countries, but we will unite against crime and look to celebrate the World Cup in a peaceful manner....Lets leave the fight to be fought by the ball...
Mzanzi is our Nation....
