Cleveland Browns Interested in Former Holmgren Product QB Seneca Wallace
According to Pro Football Talk Browns czar Mike Holmgren is reportedly entertaining the idea of acquiring Seattle Seahawks backup Quarterback Seneca Wallace.
The idea seems perfectly logical for the rebuilding Browns. Holmgren is going to cut the overpriced Derek Anderson, and former first round pick Brady Quinn may not excite the Quarterback guru. Quinns' value may be best on the trade market, especially in an offseason when more trades are going to occur then normal.
A rumored target for the Browns has been Seahawks starting QB Matt Hasselbeck, for the obvious reason that Hasselbeck was Holmgrens hand picked Quarterback whom he transformed into a three time pro bowler.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Hasselbeck leads the Seahawks in many all time passing categories. Pete Carroll has thrown his support behind the veteran and unless some team offered a first-round pick for him you can expect him to at the very least be a Seahawk in 2010.
Wallace would undoubtedly be cheaper and could like be had at a mid level pick, likely a third or fourth rounder.
Considering Wallace has a better career passer rating by far then either current QB (81 compared to 69 roughly), on the roster if acquired he would either enter as the presumed starter or might battle for the starting job with Quinn or another QB import.
The Browns do have an extra third round pick, and coincidentally this is a pick the Seahawks lack due to trading up in the third round to land WR Deon Butler in the 2009 draft.
It wouldn't surprise me to see Pete Carroll deal Wallace to recover a third round pick in what will likely be his most crucial draft in his Seahawks tenure, and his most crucial offseason of his career.
