Just three years ago, CC was considered one of the planet’s baddest strikers. Unfortunately, something happened to him after his destruction of Josh Barnett in September 2006 as his killer instinct and aura of invincibility is now nothing but an afterthought.

Ngo-stradamus did have CC’s original opponent, Ben Rothwell, walking away with a victory on Saturday night, however now that Big Ben is out, Cro Cop should make easy work of Perosh – especially if you consider that he took the fight on just two days notice.

Ryan Bader (-160) vs. Keith Jardine (+130)

Having lost three of his last four scraps, including two straight, there aren’t many UFC light heavyweights that need a win as desperately as Jardine. Once considered a hopeful contender to the crown, Jardine is now simply looking to extend his Octagon career.

Bader, on the other hand, is one of the division’s fastest rising stars and stakes claim to a perfect 10-0 record. Although he’s shown drastic improvement in his standup game since becoming The Ultimate Fighter 8 winner, his last two W’s were a pair of unanimous decisions.

We know that Jardine is always down to bang, so if Bader wants to catapult himself into a contender spot there’s no faster way than by posting a devastating highlight reel knockout.

George Sotiropoulos (+200) vs. Joe Stevenson (-260)

Since taking the TUF 2 title, Stevenson has had an up-and-down Octagon career. Although he remains one of the organization’s more popular fighters, Joe Daddy needs to put together an extended winning streak in order to get into another title fight.

Having won two in a row, Stevenson is off to a good start; however, Sotiropoulos has quietly been making his way up the 155-pound ranks. He holds an impressive 11-2 pro record and has won five straight, four inside the Octagon.

Sotiropoulos has never faced anyone as talented as Stevenson so it will be intriguing to see how well he fares. Although Ngo-Stradamus senses Stevenson will have his hand raised at the end of the night, this wouldn’t be a bad underdog bet.

Wanderlei Silva (-145) vs. Michael Bisping (+115)

After being on the wrong end of an award winning knockout, Bisping bounced back nicely from his devastating loss to Dan Henderson by taking a comeback TKO over Denis Kang at UFC 105 . Despite Bisping’s 18-2 record, he can’t shake the beating Hendo laid on him.

Silva could possibly be the only fighter that can get away with posting a 1-5 record and still co-headline a UFC pay-per-view event. Despite not posting consecutive wins in over three-and-a-half years, Silva remains one of MMA’s most popular fighters.

If Bisping wants to try and create a legendary knockout of his own, Wandy might not be the best to try it against as the Brazilian’s erratic and looping swings could easily re-create a UFC 100 moment for Bisping, so that might not be the Brit’s best option.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (-110) vs. Cain Velasquez (-120)

Could this showdown be an “Out With the Old and in With the New” heavyweight bout or will it be a “Not Quite Yet Young Fella” type of fight? Either way, Velasquez will likely dictate which way it goes.

After a sub-par performance in his unanimous decision win over Cheick Kongo at UFC 99 , Velasqeuz came back to prove why he’s one of the division’s elite as he posted a resounding TKO win over MMA vet Ben Rothwell at UFC 104 .

Nogueira has fought the who’s who of MMA and will go down as one of the best heavyweights ever when it’s all said and done. Although the question remains, how much does the soon to be 34-year-old have left in the tank, especially against the hungry dogs that are trying to get where he’s already been?

There will be a lot on the line as the winner earns No. 2 contender status behind the interim champ that will be determined between Shane Carwin and Frank Mir at UFC 111 . Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is expected to once again unify his title against either Carwin or Mir after that, however we’ve seen how vicious the iInjury bug has been, so Mr. No. 2 Contender better be ready.
