Bulls Go Old School On Twolves
The Bulls are streaking again. They have won three straight since the all-star break with two of those being on the road. They are now two games over 500 and trying to stay in control of their postseason dreams. Derrick Rose leads the Bulls to a 100-94 win over the Timberwolves who were in their throw back jerseys from 1989. Kirk Hinrich lead all scorers with 20 points on a night that he tied Ben Gordon for the most 3-pointers made in franchise history with 770. Bulls had 5 players in double digits including new comer Hakim Warrick who had 10 points and 9 boards while playing 30 minutes in his Bulls debut. Fellow new comer Flip Murray scored 8 points and taking Ben Gordon's spot in the three guard lineup along side Rose and Hinrich. Joe Alexander and Acie Law will have to wait another day to make their debuts with their new team. Devin Brown also did not play while Hunter joined Noah and Jerome James as the in-actives. The Bulls really buckled down in the second half only allowing 36 points after letting them score 58 in the first half. Taj Gibson remains to be solid scoring 14 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. Without Noah there was some very interesting lineups that may help the team later in the season against teams that go small. Noah has now missed the last 7 games. Hopefully he can return soon because they will have a real battle with Miami, Charlotte and Miami for the final three playoffs spots. Both Milwaukee and Charlotte won this evening with Miami currently in overtime with Memphis. Bulls return home Saturday to play the 76ers at the UC. The game will be on WGN TV and Espn radio 1000.
Old Bulls..... Tyrus Thomas had a impressive debut with his team team scoring 9 points grabbing 12 rebounds and blocking 6 shots in 25 minutes off the bench upsetting the Cleveland Cavs. He also getting 4 personal fouls. While John Salmons played 33 minutes off the bench and scored 19 points going 3for 6 behind the arc.
