That Just Happened, Mariners Swap Silva For Bradley, Langerhans Resigned
So on the heels of my article yesterday, the Mariners go out and shock the baseball world again, this time trading forgotten pitcher Carlos Silva and his 4 year - 48 million dollar deal that former GM Bill Bavasi signed him to, to the Cubs for controversial outfielder Milton Bradley.
The deal which on paper looks to be a straight trade, is a blessing for the Mariners, who were looking for a left fielder and a way to free themselves of the burden that having Silva on the books. Bradley can possibly come in and be a 25 home run hitter with the team, and possibly regain the All Star form he had in Texas only two seasons ago.
