College Football Playoff Prediction Series: Week 12
Again there is little change since last week 's games. LSU's inexplicable loss to Ole Miss makes the Tigers the biggest team to fall. In most larger playoffs Penn State has moved in to replace the Bayou Bengals.
The Pac-10 title comes down to the Civil War between Oregon and Oregon State. Ohio State and Iowa played last week for the Big Ten title. Cincinnati and Pittsburgh will play for the Big East title.
These three games, combined with the Championship games of the ACC, Big 12, and SEC, have set up what could be considered a playoff. Unfortunately, only two of these six champions (eight, including TCU and Boise State) will play for the title.
East Carolina takes the lead of Conference USA as the only team with one loss. Southern Miss can take the lead away by defeating East Carolina next week, but that would require Houston to also lose to Rice.
Unfortunately, last week's poll results were flushed, so this week's playoff order will remain unchanged, except for the absence of my favorite playoff, the Add One playoff. Stay tuned for some special playoff-related articles next week.
The Poll
If you have proposals that you'd like displayed next week, then link to them or describe them in the comments section. Up to two may be added for each new iteration of this series.
Each week, there will also be a poll for whichever proposal makes the most sense. The playoff with the least amount of support may not appear next week, at my discretion.
Enjoy the playoffs below, given in an order considering last week's vote.
