US Open Golf 2021: Start Time, Live Stream, TV Schedule, Odds and Predictions
Two weekends ago, Jon Rahm appeared to be well on his way to winning the Memorial Tournament. Through three rounds, he had built a six-stroke lead and was showing no signs of slowing down.
Then, Rahm was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to testing positive for COVID-19.
Not only did that prevent Rahm from winning the Memorial Tournament, it put his status for the U.S. Open in question. However, Rahm has since tested negative twice and come out of isolation, and he'll be looking to capture his first major win this weekend at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego.
This is only the second time that Torrey Pines is hosting the U.S. Open. The first provided epic action in 2008, when Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate played an 18-hole playoff before Woods won on the first hole of sudden death.
Could there be a similar exciting finish this weekend? There's plenty of talented golfers in this year's field, so the possibility will be there.
Here's everything else you need to know heading into the 2021 U.S. Open.

Preview, Predictions
Jon Rahm has never won a major tournament, but it's only a matter of time before the 26-year-old breaks through. His best showing at a major came in the 2019 U.S. Open, in which he tied for third. But he's also been playing well this year, tying for fifth at the Masters and tying for eighth at the PGA Championship.
In previous appearances at Torrey Pines, Rahm has fared well. The course hosts the Farmers Insurance Open each year, and Rahm has finished in the top seven in that tournament in four of the past five years. He won the event in 2017, and he placed seventh earlier this year.
This year's Farmers Insurance Open was won by Patrick Reed, who finished 14 under par. Tony Finau, Viktor Hovland and Xander Schauffele were among the five golfers who tied for second at nine under.
Bryson DeChambeau owns one career win at a major tournament, and that came at last year's U.S. Open. He'll now be looking to become the first golfer to win the event in back-to-back years since Brooks Koepka in 2017 and 2018.
Gary Woodland (2019), Dustin Johnson (2016) and Jordan Spieth (2015) are among the recent U.S. Open champions who will be back at the tournament this year looking to capture another title at the event.
However, it will be Rahm who is the betting favorite heading into the tournament. And while he's never won a major tournament, this could be a great opportunity for him to do so.
The expectation here is that Rahm will have a strong weekend and will be contending for the win throughout Sunday's final round. His previous success at Torrey Pines will help him have another impressive showing.
But Rahm isn't going to win the U.S. Open and will again come up short at a major.
Instead, it will be DeChambeau who defends his crown and repeats as U.S. Open champion for his second career major. He's had some solid performances of late, making him poised to break out with a first-place-caliber weekend.
DeChambeau has only played at Torrey Pines twice (the Farmers Insurance Open in 2017 and 2018), and he missed the cut both times. But the 27-year-old's game has evolved a lot since then. He has more power now, so he should be in line for a better showing than his past appearances at the court.
It will be a competitive final round in this year's U.S. Open, and numerous talented golfers could potentially rise up and win the championship. But the prediction here is that it will DeChambeau secure the victory with an impressive Sunday showing.
