World Football: Don't Make Another Mistake, Michael Zorc...
Michael Zorc, General Manager of Borussia Dortmund, isn't really known for making good transfers and singing the right players.
This was proven about a year ago when Zorc let Petric, one of the best players in Dortmund with a nice "Rosicky" future go in order to get about $8 Million plus Zidan.
While Zidan couldn't get the real break trough in Mainz, Zorc must have believed somehow that he would be able to that at a better team.

Don't get me wrong, Michael Zorc did great things for Borussia Dortmund as a player, but I really question his skills as a GM.
A few weeks ago the "Mirror", a newspaper in Great Britain, reported that Manchester City, only through the help of their Abu Dhabi United Group, are interested in Dortmund's best defensive player Nevan Subotic.
Zorc commented on that article saying" Subotic is not for sale, he has a contract until 2014". I was happy to hear that, because Subotic is indeed one of Dortmund's best player and of the rising stars in Europe.
However, when I heard that Manchester wants to pay $33 Million for Subotic and Zorc wouldn't want to accept that offer, I questioned him again.
Dortmund needs that money, a few years ago the club was close to be ruined by a GM that calculated with money that the club didn't have. Since then, Dortmund makes 1-3 Million Dollars profit per year, not really that great but decent enough to get by.
However, I believe that Dortmund can really use this money, to make two or three $5 Million transfers that help the club to establish a better midfield and to get a second good striker.
As far as the defense concerns Dortmund still has Hummels, bought him from Bayern Munich a year ago, and Felipe Augusto Santana, both really good defenders that have a bright future ahead of them.
But no, Michael Zorc wants to keep Subotic, even that Dortmund has equivalent subs for him.
Dortmund needs the money, a few years ago the club almost didn't get the license to play in Germanys top league and now they get a offer like that and they do not accept it?
This money could safe Dortmund from being in danger of not getting the license, also it could get them a few good player while still keeping some money for the positive gain. But once again, I will question Michael Zorc's decision of saying no.
