Super Bowl 2021: Updated Favorites and Odds Entering Wild Card Weekend
The road to Super Bowl LV begins this weekend with six Wild Card Round matchups. For now, there are still 14 teams hoping to end the 2020 season with the Lombardi Trophy at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., on Feb. 7.
That number is going to drop quickly over the next few weeks, though. And some teams already have much better chances to win the Super Bowl than others in the field, such as the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers, who are both No. 1 seeds and earned first-round byes in their conferences.
However, anything can happen once the playoffs begin, and there's always the potential for upsets.

It's not surprising that the Chiefs are the favorites to win the championship again this season. They went 14-2 during the regular season, and one of those losses was a Week 17 defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers in which Kansas City sat many of its starters.
The Chiefs' offense has powered them to another impressive year. They led the NFL with 415.8 total yards per game during the regular season, while no other team averaged more than 396.4. They also led the league with 303.4 passing yards per game, with no other team averaging more than 289.1.
In last year's playoffs, quarterback Patrick Mahomes guided the team to three straight wins, earning MVP honors in Super Bowl LIV. There's a decent chance he'll do the same this postseason, considering how well Kansas City's offense continues to play.
Even with +225 odds, there's smart value in betting on the Chiefs now. If they get rolling and make it to the Super Bowl again, there will be less of an opportunity to cash out on decent winnings.
The Packers have the best odds among NFC teams after going 13-3 during the regular season, ending on a six-game winning streak. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers could end up winning the NFL MVP Award after passing for 4,299 yards and a league-high 48 touchdowns, and he's also looking to lead Green Bay to a Super Bowl title for the second time in his career.
This is the first time that Green Bay has had a first-round bye since the 2011 season, so perhaps getting a week off before beginning its postseason run will pay dividends.
If you're looking for a team with weaker odds to bet on this postseason, it could be worth taking a chance on the Ravens, who have much to prove after their quick exit in last year's playoffs. In 2019, Baltimore went 14-2 and earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Then in the divisional round, it lost to Tennessee.
The Ravens faced more adversity during the regular season in 2020, as they had a midseason stretch in which they lost four of five games. However, they've since gotten back on track, ending the regular season on a five-game winning streak to secure the No. 5 seed.
"Now we have to win or go home," Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson said, according to Mitch Stacy of the Associated Press. "That's what it's been the last few weeks. We have to win to keep going."
Not only did the Ravens lose to the Titans in last year's playoffs, but they also lost to them at home in Week 11 of the 2020 season. So, they'll need to fare better against Tennessee on Sunday to make a postseason run. But if that happens, Baltimore could be poised for a strong showing.
While the Chiefs are the safer betting pick, the Ravens are a team that could upset them on the way to Super Bowl LV, making Baltimore an intriguing option to bet on at +1100 odds.
