Glen Johnson Turned 40 Years Old While in the Ring Against Chad Dawson

Glen Johnson turned 40 years old while in the ring with the younger prime undefeated Chad Dawson Saturday night. Johnson, who is 40 years old but has been still fighting in his last several fights as if he was in his prime late 20s finally started to show his age against the light heavyweight IBO champion Dawson.

All three judges scored the fight for Dawson. Two judges had it 115 to 113 and one judge had it 117 to 111.

This fight was far different from their first fight which many considered Johnson had clearly won for being the more aggressive fighter and pressuring and out landing Dawson. Johnson tried to pressure Dawson as he did in their first fight but found himself to be too slow and too weak for the faster smarter champion.

At the end of the fourth round Glen's corner told him he had just lost the first four rounds and a look of discouragement came over his face and body that seemed to remain until the end of he fight.

The 27-year-old undefeated American light heavyweight champion Dawson felt he was done with Tarver and Johnson and wanted to fight Bernard Hopkins next for he feels he is the number one light heavyweight.

Dawson improves his perfect record to 29 (17)-0. Johnson falls to 49 (33)-13-2.

On the under card exciting young fast rising knock out artist Alfredo "Perro" Angulo 17 (14)-1 knocked out previously undefeated Harry Joe Yorgey 22 (10)-1-1 in a very one sided brutal beat down fashion in the third round.
