Roller Coaster Rafael
It's hard to choose which has more ups and downs the Big Dipper or Rafael Benitez's Liverpool. I'd imagine many pundits on shows such as Sky Sports' Sunday Suppliment are worried about prasing or slating Rafael Benitez due to his inability to sustain consistency. Not only does Rafa keep his side very inconsistent and unpredictable by changing it every week, his results are exactly the same.
I honestly went into last weeks game versus Manchester United thinking Ferguson would have put a nail or two in Rafa's coffin, yet I don't think i've seen the side play with more confidence without Steven Gerrard in a long time. But after watching the reds go down to an average Fulham side you start to think Rafa's days as Liverpool's manager must be numbered.

I don't think there's a man in all the land who'd put money on predicting the score Liverpool vs Lyon will finish, I don't even think there's a man who'd bet on predicting the side he will put out.
I know there are some fans who feel a bit sorry for Rafa after being left with no money in the transfer kitty and the clubs finances still in shambles, but don't you think all of Rafa's poor signings and sellings are coming back to bite him?
Okay so Xabi Alonso wanted to leave and there was little Rafa could do to stop him. But what about players such as Bellamy, Finnan, Crouch, Riise (groan all you like he's 10x better than Dossena), Arbeloa, Warnock, Owen (he had a chance to re-sign him when he was at Real Madrid but bottled it). Just to name a few.
Surely they're a better standard of quality than Voronin, who by the way slated the city when he was on loan at Hertha Berlin. Dossena, possibly the bargain of the century, for Udinese that is. Babel, okay not awful but not premier league standard. And the name to top it all of, Lucas Leiva.
Despite all this I dare not say anymore, chances are Rafa will pull another rabbit out of the hat when we travel to Lyon next week, then probably play Voronin and blow it again when we play Birmingham the week after.
Don't read this and say oh, but he won the champions League, okay fair play he did but my word he had the Gods on his side along the way but since the FA cup in 2006 Rafa's won nothing and that isnt good enough when you're the manager of Liverpool.
