Manchester City Transfer News: €57m Jorginho Offer Ready in Latest Rumours
Manchester City are reportedly ready to offer Napoli €57 million (£49.9 million) for midfielder Jorginho as they continue their attempts to bring the 26-year-old to the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the Brazilian-born Italian and is willing to spend big to add him to his squad this summer, according to Italian newspaper Il Mattino (h/t Calciomercato.com).
Jorginho's agent, Joao Santos, told CalcioNapoli24 on Thursday that the midfielder will move to Manchester City if the two clubs can reach an agreement (h/t The Independent).

The 26-year-old has played a key role for Napoli's challenge for the Serie A title this season. The club will finish the season in second place behind Juventus but have lit up Italy with their attractive style of play under manager Maurizio Sarri.

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has explained what it is like to play against the midfielder, per Sky Sports PL:
Jorginho looks to be a good fit for Guardiola's side, but they still have work to do to bring him in during the summer transfer window.
The club may even have to break their transfer record, according to Stuart Brennan at the Manchester Evening News. City's most expensive player is defender Aymeric Laporte, who joined from Athletic Bilbao in January for £57 million.
Santos also said on Thursday that there is plenty of interest in Jorginho from other English clubs. He told Radio Crc (h/t Football Italia): "I'm in Brazil, no-one's called me from Napoli. I've been called by Manchester City, and Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea too. It's not hard to find agreements with teams like those."
Jorginho has been asked about interest from Manchester City and said he was flattered, according to Corriere del Mezzogiorno (via Calciomercato.com, h/t Sport Witness). He said: "The recognition and praise from Guardiola, a coach so important to world football, is spectacular. In England there are teams that play football that I like."
Manchester City look to be in pole position to land the talented midfielder, and he seems interested in a switch to Guardiola's Premier League champions. Yet City still have to convince Napoli to part ways with one of their key players, which may prove more costly than expected.
