2. Nitish Rana, Kolkata Knight Riders: 9.75
3. Yusuf Pathan, Sunrisers Hyderabad: 14.00
4. Jofra Archer, Rajasthan Royals: 15.25
5. Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians: 16.78
Mumbai had Pandya to thank for a notable win. The all-rounder was productive in front of the wicket and with the ball in his hands, as ESPNcricinfo detailed:
The Indians needed Pandya's complete display to offset the damage Uthappa did from the crease. He smashed his way to a quality half-century before finishing on 54.
Hitting a 50 has been a rarity for Robin Uthappa this season, but Cricbuzz showed how the 32-year-old has usually made a habit of reaching the mark during his IPL career:
Uthappa's efforts weren't enough for the Knight Riders, not when their bowlers couldn't control Yadav. The latter kept pace with Chennai Super Kings star Ambati Rayudu after he hit 59, including seven fours.
The Royals' bid to set an unattainable chase was hit early when D'Arcy Short was dismissed after struggling to deal with a teasing deliver from Kings XI skipper Ravichandran Ashwin.
As Cricbuzz detailed, Short has found it difficult to cope with a spinning ball this season:
Jos Buttler had no such problems, though, as he slogged his way to a second 50 in as many matches. His fine efforts would have counted for a lot had it not been for Rahul's superb showing.
ESPNcricinfo broke down the 26-year-old's game:
While Kings XI and Mumbai still have playoff ambitions, Rajasthan continue to endure a torrid campaign.
