Kentucky Derby 2018: Final Results, Standings, Payouts and Replay Highlights
Justify pulled to victory in the 2018 Kentucky Derby on Saturday and beat runner-up Good Magic to give himself a chance at clinching this year's Triple Crown.
The muddy conditions at Churchill Downs in Louisville didn't prevent trainer Bob Baffert from winning his fifth Run For the Roses:
Cody Benjamin of CBSSports.com confirmed the $2 million prize purse is to be distributed among the top five finishers, and the winner is guaranteed $1.24 million of that.
Two weeks remain until the spotlight turns to Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore for the 2018 Preakness Stakes.
NBC Sports provided a replay of the 2018 Kentucky Derby in full:

Hopes were even higher for Justify after he was granted a favorable post position at No. 7, and jockey Mike Smith made the most of it with a confidently steered race in which he never really trailed.
These weren't conditions in which one would want to fall too far behind the pack, either; the Kentucky Derby Twitter account gave a better look at just how soggy Churchill Downs was:
CNN's Jill Martin also confirmed a major piece of history on Justify's behalf: Baffert's entry ended the 136-year-old curse of Apollo, who was the last horse to win the Derby without racing as a two-year-old:
The race developed a surprisingly quick pace despite the muddiness of the track, and it was to be expected that some of those early jostlers for the front fell away as the race progressed.
But Justify always looked at ease with his pace and took control once early rail guide Promises Fulfilled ebbed away.
OddsShark confirmed Justify won in a time of two minutes, 2.40 seconds, and that he joins the Kentucky Derby's recent list of strongly favored winners:
Good Magic was jockeyed by 2017 Belmont Stakes winner Jose Ortiz and gave a strong account of his credentials, but any late charge on Justify's lead ended close to the final straight.
Justify rounded the final bend into the race's climax and appeared to be breathing with ease, with jockey Smith giving thanks for the quality of the horse after their victory together.
Though he appeared to tire slightly near the end, Justify improves his perfect record, per ESPN Stats and Info:
Baffert is sure to have high hopes for Justify for the remainder of the Triple Crown, with no other contender on Saturday quite of the same standard for most of the race.
