Packers WR Trevor Davis Won't Face Charges over LAX Bomb Joke
Prosecutors in Los Angeles won't charge Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis after he joked about having a bomb at Los Angeles International Airport, ESPN.com's Rob Demovsky reported Thursday.
USA Today's Tom Schad reported earlier this month the incident occurred when Davis was checking in to a Hawaiian Airlines flight.
Los Angeles Airport Police spokesperson Rob Pedregon told Schad that Davis was traveling with a female companion when the airline agent asked them if they were carrying any banned items in their luggage. According to Pedregon, Davis responded by asking his friend if she packed the explosives.

Davis had been facing a misdemeanor charge of making a bomb threat.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette's Ryan Wood reported Davis met with the Los Angeles City Attorney shortly after the arrest and offered his side of the story. City attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan said the office "advised [Davis] on the law" and let him know what to do to avoid a similar situation.
Davis is entering his third season with the Packers, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2016 draft. He appeared in all 16 games as a special teams player for Green Bay in 2017 and amassed 1,079 all-purpose yards.
