Premier League Results Week 35: Sunday's 2018 EPL Scores, Top Scorers and Table

Raheem Sterling scored his 18th Premier League goal of the season as Manchester City cruised to a 5-0 win over Swansea City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Alexandre Lacazette came off the bench to score twice and help Arsenal to a 4-1 win over West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium.

Sunday's only other Premier League fixture was at the Britannia Stadium, where Stoke City were held to a 1-1 draw with Burnley.

Manchester City took to the pitch for the first time since being crowned Premier League champions and received a guard of honour from Swansea, as shown by Stuart Brennan at the Manchester Evening News:

The champions took just 12 minutes to open the scoring. David Silva finished off a superb team move involving Kevin De Bruyne and Sterling.

Sterling tapped home Fabian Delph's cross for City's second four minutes later. Squawka Football noted the improvement in his goalscoring record:

The hosts had to wait until the second half for more goals as De Bruyne made it 3-0 with a brilliant strike from range. Sterling then won a penalty, and although Gabriel Jesus' effort hit the post, Bernardo Silva reacted quickly to slot home the rebound.

City were cruising and brought on Yaya Toure for a rare appearance in the second half. Benjamin Mendy also made his long-awaited return from injury and received a warm welcome, per Paul Hirst at The Times:

Jesus looped a header over Lukasz Fabianski on 88 minutes to complete the scoring as City showed why they had won the Premier League by some distance. In contrast, Swansea remain four points above the drop zone but still with some work to do to stay up.

Arsene Wenger saw his side pick up all three points against West Ham in his first game in charge since announcing he will be stepping down at the end of the season.

Nacho Monreal volleyed home the opener from a Granit Xhaka corner for his fifth goal of the season on 51 minutes. Squawka Football showed how he's enjoyed a great campaign in front of goal:

However, their lead only lasted a little over 10 minutes. Marko Arnautovic equalised just after the hour mark with a powerful finish after good work from Manuel Lanzini.

Opta showed how crucial the Austrian has been to West Ham: 

Wenger sent on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on 70 minutes in search of a winner, and he played a big role as Arsenal scored three goals in seven minutes to secure the win late on.

With 82 minutes gone, the Gabon international raced down the right, and although his cross was cleared by Declan Rice, it fell to Aaron Ramsey. The Welshman curled the ball into the area, where Rice and goalkeeper Joe Hart both left it and could only watch as it drifted into the far corner.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty was not impressed with the West Ham defence:

Aubameyang was involved again three minutes later when Arsenal added a third through Lacazette. The two strikers combined, and Lacazette's shot took a nick off Aaron Cresswell as it beat Hart.

Lacazette then sealed the win with a minute of normal time remaining as he picked up Ramsey's cutback and took a touch before firing past Hart. WhoScored.com showed how the vast majority of Lacazette's goals have come at home:

It's a big win for Arsenal, which sets them up nicely for Thursday's UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg against Atletico Madrid. West Ham remain six points off the drop zone and are still not completely safe with four games to play.

Stoke City also remain in deep trouble after being forced to settle for a draw against Burnley. The hosts had looked set for victory after Badou Ndiaye's deflected strike put them ahead after just 11 minutes.

However, Ashley Barnes levelled the scores on 62 minutes when he continued his rich vein of goalscoring form, as shown by Tyrone Marshall at the Lancashire Telegraph:

Burnley dominated the second half and forced goalkeeper Jack Butland into several good saves, while Stephen Ireland clipped a post late on for Stoke.

The result is a positive one for Burnley. They move nine points clear of Leicester City in seventh and are on course for European football. Dale Johnson at ESPN FC explained the situation:

However, it's another blow for the Potters' hopes of survival as they remain four points from safety with just three games left to play.
