Jurgen Klopp Says Liverpool 'Can Beat Anyone' in Champions League Semis
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said his side don't fear anyone in the UEFA Champions League after their memorable quarter-final win over Manchester City on Tuesday.
The Reds produced an excellent performance over the two legs to win 5-1 on aggregate and march into the semi-finals.
Klopp said after beating such a strong City side his team are capable of matching anyone in the competition, per Andy Hampson of the Press Association (h/t MailOnline).

"I have absolutely no interest in comparing us. Barcelona, Bayern, Real Madrid, they've won everything in the last 20 years. In the same time we pretty much didn't win anything as a club," he said.
"You will not become a winner overnight. We only can develop. If we have a good day we can beat anyone, on an average day we concede cheap goals."
Klopp added that in City, he feels as though Liverpool beat "the best team in the world" over the two legs.
Unsurprisingly, the result has got Reds supporters dreaming of what would be a sixth European Cup in the club's history:
After all, this is a Liverpool team that does have the attributes to go all the way in this competition despite the flaws Klopp mentioned.
Virgil van Dijk has steadied the team at the back since his arrival from Southampton in January, in midfield there is energy and tenacity to burn, while up front the attacking potency is a match for any side in world football at the moment.

At the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, both Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino worked tirelessly for the cause as City applied the pressure, but it was Mohamed Salah who grabbed the crucial away goal to effectively end the tie; the Egypt international has netted 39 times this season.
Mark Ogden of ESPN praised the cohesion of Liverpool's performance after their back-to-back wins over City:
The cause of Liverpool in the tournament was arguably helped in the night's other Champions League quarter-final second leg on Tuesday, as AS Roma produced a stunning fightback to beat Barcelona 3-0 in the Italian capital and progress on away goals.
While the Serie A side are a force to be reckoned with, the prospect of coming up against Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez would have been a much more ominous one for the Reds.
Afterwards, Klopp admitted he was shocked to see Roma had made it through, per Ian Doyle of the Liverpool Echo:
While it would be unwise to rule out the prospect of more surprises in the Champions League on Wednesday, at the moment Real Madrid—3-0 up after their win over Juventus in Turin—and Bayern Munich (who beat Sevilla 2-1 on the road) are the big favourites to join Liverpool and Roma in the semi-finals.
The Giallorossi will be the team to draw in the semis if that is the case. Still, whether it's Madrid, Munich or Roma, Klopp's side have proved they won't take a backwards step against any opponent.
