IPL Results 2018: Royals vs. Sunrisers Score, Revised Table and Schedule
Rajasthan Royals made a losing return to the Indian Premier League on Monday as they suffered a thumping nine-wicket defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening match of the 2018 edition.
After a two-year ban due to a corruption scandal, the Royals batted first on their return to IPL action and were only able to muster 125 for nine from their 20 overs.
The Sunrisers produced some fine bowling to restrict the visitors at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium and chased down the Royals' total with 25 balls to spare, finishing on 127 for one.
Here is what the IPL 2018 table now looks like with all eight teams having played their opening matches, along with the upcoming schedule:

Monday's Recap
Hyderabad elected to field first after winning the toss, and skipper Kane Williamson ran out opener D'Arcy Short for just four in the first over.
A partnership of 46 between Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson saw Rajasthan pass 50 in the seventh over, but the Sunrisers then turned the screw to restrict the run rate impressively.
Consistent wicket-taking put Hyderabad on the front foot, and Samson's contribution of 49 from 42 balls—he was eventually dismissed by Shakib Al Hasan in the 14th over—was by far the best score in the Rajasthan innings.
Only three others—Rahane, Rahul Tripathi and Shreyas Gopal—made it into double figures as English duo Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler scored five and six, respectively.
Cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle was full of praise for the Hyderabad bowlers after all five contributed to the wickets and kept things tight:
It meant that there was little pressure on the Sunrisers batsmen as they headed out to chase a relatively easy target.
Opener Wriddhiman Saha fell to Jaydev Unadkat in the second over for five, but the experienced duo of Shikhar Dhawan and Williamson settled in to set up the victory.
Fireworks were not required to win the match but that did not stop Dhawan from opening his shoulders.
The 32-year-old hit 14 boundaries, one of them a six, as he finished unbeaten on 77 from 57 balls.
Williamson was content to play a secondary role but was still able to contribute his own unbeaten 36 from 35 balls as the Sunrisers cruised to the simplest of opening victories with more than four overs in hand.
